I don't think there was no reason for Donny not playing until now... Ferguson did that loads of times. He'd get a player, never play him for like a year and a half, and then bit by bit the player would make his way into the first team and really play well and solidify a spot there. I think Ole was doing just that. Donny seems now to be playing well, and every time he comes on the pitch its exciting, and I believe that time was needed for him to adjust and grow to a Man U level. Nevertheless, people never appreciate the importance of time for some things... Also everybody knows Maguire is out of form at the moment... Don't see what his sending off has to do with Ole. Ferguson had a terrible first few years at the club, and look where that time got him?

Sacking Ole but keeping Carrick, McKenna, & Phelan sums Woodward and The Glazers up in a nutshell. Utter shambles.

Well to be fair, they don't have a permanent manager lined up yet (as far as we know) and I'm sure any manager coming in on a permanent basis will easily have the pull to bring whoever they want in to replace our current staff, when the time comes.

Whether a person is playing for Utd or Dundee Utd or whoever, the very basic thing he has to carry to the pitch is desire and hunger. Yesterday was so so terrible. I actually feel real bad for Ole. @@tomscott4438 Man Utd is good enough even without Ronaldo. Madrid was 4-3-3, Utd doesn't have to play with all their holding midfielders. Defence has plenty of quality with Varane, Shaw and AWB. The real problem is the system of defending, not the players

Attended a leadership seminar one time and one thing I took from it was that good leadership involves integrity, humility and COMPETENCE. And they all have go together hand in hand. Without any of them you either just a nice guy or a hardworker.

Bro don't expect ole to just resign. He signed a 3 year contract back in August on 100,000 a week. Ole didn't step down, he was booted with a nice compensation. We shouldn't expect staff to just step down and give up their income/livelihood. They won't get compensation.

I felt sorry for Ole & stand with Bruno that the players were to blame for the Watford result (Watford did go after them too) Some if not all of the players really do need a reality check & someone to remind them what badge they are playing for. It's also good to see the work that Ole did for club & that too won't be forgotten. Thanks Ole GGMU

I’m a Liverpool fan, don’t like to see this, Ole is a legend. Players need to look at themselves, I think it’s utter bollocks when you hear talk such as “manager isn’t motivating or inspiring the players”. Any player that lacks motivation playing for Man U shouldn’t be in the game.

Bullcrap, Watford were really good yesterday and outperformed Man U. Going on like United are still top-dogs.

I'm not a Man United fan, but even I feel bad for Ole. It was nice seeing him return to the club and it obviously made fans happy, but it was inevitable, he doesn't have the experience, his tactics were questionable but he is a legend of the club so it gave those associated a boost for a while. The players gave up months ago and they definitely need to be held accountable for their performances. Ole should try managing a small team in a lesser division and in a few years he can really be judged on whether he has what it takes to be a good or even decent enough manager, he was definitely thrown in the deep-end. What they said here about the media being characterized as a pitchfork mob not being true, is an absolute lie! Even he doesn't believe that, he's only saying that because he works in the media. Read any newspaper, watch any news network, not just sports but mainstream, the media are disgusting the way they attack people, printing pieces filled with so much lies based on very little information, but we all have to remember the media is not interested in providing information, they are concerned about being first - that's it! First with the information, getting as many people to read their columns and watching their programmes - it's all about ratings because the news is BIG business, they want as many eyeballs on them as possible regardless of how much information they have on a particular subject, to the point they clearly lie and purposely spit out falsities and they always hide behind the term "source". The got their information from a "source" who coincidentally wants to remain anonymous. Whenever they say that it means one of two things, 1: this sources is someone who may have been close to the subject but is no longer and they are bitter about that so they spread lies, or 2: they simply made it up! And they have the safety of hiding being that term because no "journalist" would ever reveal their source.

Ronaldo was the biggest reason of his and United's downfall the team was set up only to accommodate a 36 yr old has been who can't press or track back and only play for self glory .They were joint 2nd on points and were flying before Ronaldo and any new manager will face the same problem as the dressing room is divided.

Wolves and Southampton games were beyond shocking pre-Ronaldo. The writings were on the wall. This season was supposed to be the one where Solskjaer's team morphs from a counterattacking to a dominating side. He failed miserably. End of story.

Ole off the wheel FINALLY!!!!!!!!

Ole restored soul and culture back into the club and made strides last season. signing Ronaldo changed all of that. Like an aquarium putting a shark in a dolphin tank, the team was not built or ready to play around Ronaldo. Feel sorry for Ole, but he had to go in the end

He got to a point where his skills as manager showed we all know he was there to steady the ship and now it needs Pochettino Zidane or Rogers

I feel like Luis Enrique is being slept on, he won a treble and a double with Barcelona, plus even Guardiola's a massive fan of him. He even said that Enrique's Barca team was one of the best teams he's ever faced as a manager. If United are looking to go back to their attacking football style he's the guy to take them forward, he can manage ego's as well. Like I remember at the beginning of 2015 there were rumours of him falling out with Messi but then look at what happened at the end of the season, they won the treble.

Although it was time for change I would like to thank Ole for the strong squad he has built. A shame he didn't win a trophy or two considering the semi finals and final. Whoever comes in will have a brilliant squad to work with and hopefully compete for trophies ❤️
