He actually named “It’s Hard to Find a Friend” as one of his all time most influential albums in a magazine interview a long time ago, and that day I discovered my favorite artist ever in Bazan.

Its new to me, and the fact they chose this song of the millions of songs out there plays heavy into the focus on religion. Ill have to see what else is out there but yeah, Andy and Julien are two phenomenal musicians.

Hey bud, whatever youre going through; you aint alone. No matter what you believe, He is there. He suffers with you. But their newest CD has some very very deep rooted lyrics of belief and faith and It was amazing and astounding. The Grocery for example, gives me chills lyrically. Anyways, regardless of what you believe; God is not religion. Religion is not God. Dont let anyone convince you it is. Its a personal relationship. Its not the 4 buildings of a wall or how much money you give. Man created that twisted way of thinking and how religion rules. Jesus is our savior, you dont need to "confess" to a preacher to be forgiven and you dont need to follow a man made rule to please God, its just so twisted these days. Sorry for the rant, brother. I pray everything comes to an end in the pile of crap youve been dealing with. Every day is a new day.

He is also from Bad Books - Andy Hull is an amazingly complex and musically driven being. He exudes music from his every pore as does Julien and the world is a better place because of them.
