Deansgate-Castlefield is a major interchange station on the Manchester Metrolink tram network. It has a total of eight lines serving it with the recent addition of the extension of Trafford Centre services to the station. It has four platforms, and there is a huge amount of action to observe here with trams coming in every few seconds. It may very well be the busiest tram stop (in terms of number of trams serving it) in the entire country.
This station is directly connected by a walkway to Deansgate station on the Castlefield corridor, which allows for a fairly simple connection to National Rail services around the North West.
