Forget VAR… there will be a new rule in football announced called ‘no contest’. When the ref sees Manchester City reach 20-0 he will be allowed to stop the match and call it off. The signing of Haaland signifies a strong desire from Pep Guardiola to dominate in the Champions League next year; every year City has been building their squad into the powerhouse it is today. If you look at Man United, we have had some big name signings over the years as well; some of which cost far more than Haaland but they tended to be players with great individual brilliance, but there has not been a clear game plan to success as a team unit. We have so much to learn from City if we want to compete with them next season.

Pep is the difference, he made the signings work ( cause he has a plan ). City in 2010-16 had only won 2 league titles. Pep take over and won 3 out of 5 going 4 in 6 years. Using almost the same core players from 2010-16 signings. The point is, if Man United with all their signings, is coach by Pep Guardiola, they will dominate too. The signings wasn't the problem. United had not gotten a world class manager since SAF left bar Mourinho, and he was the one who won them their last trophies.

All media will add up every single penny to make this deal sound as expensive as possible but in reality it’s one of the best deals in modern football for such a superstar

@@sondrejohansen48 I never thought Grealish was a 100mil player but the jury is still out for him as others like Cancelo and Rodri for instance under performed in their first season and got better in the second. Its not his last year contract like Pogba which looks like a wasted investment now. I still dont think he was worth that amount but if he put top performances and consistency in the years to come, everybody will forget price tag.

Maguire 80M, Graelish 100M, Pepe 70M, Lukaku 90M, Havertz 80M, Ziyech 50M. This is such a steal for 51M.....

Last year city had for the first time the highest revenue of all the footballclubs. Imagine City pay 51 mil £ and 350'000 £ the week for Haaland. These days thats good business tbf. What did united pay for maguire or sanchez. What did PSG pay for Neymar, Mbappe, Varatti, Ramos or Donnaruma? What did Chelsea pay for Werner or Lukaku?? City is a well organised and smart club. For me the only club at the same level is... Liverpool. Respect to them for their business as well.

51 million for a guy who could dominate for the next 10 years minimum is an absolute steal. Fantastic bit of business. Even if he flops massively it's nothing in today's market.

All in all over 5 years is £176mil. That's great business. After years he'll be 27, prime age, he can be sold for £200mil, if he does well. That's good business. Yes we've got the money. I wonder what the excuse will be for clubs to keep overpricing players now? If Neymar inflated the market, Haaland surely must crash it now. As a Man U fan it’s embarrassing to root for a club who would’ve paid 150mill for Haaland if they were the ones chasing him. And we were willing to pay 100 mill for Kane. Ridiculous. Props to City, a REAL football club.

Slab will come good guys. Give him time. Just had a dodgy season. New manager coming in with new players and fresh start. You don't turn into a bad player overnight.

The difference between City and United is working with a plan (like Rangnick keeps ok saying). Identify who fits the system and signs them early unlike the other who always panic buys misfits and for higher amounts.

appreciate how under the radar the deal was, not the soap opera united make out of all signings. Negotiation was going on behind the scene,then boom he's already having his medical in Belgium, Next day, he's declared a city player. Considering this wasn't in the news last week at all, That was a swift deal for a player who has been the Media hype for all things football related to mega signings and Next generation talent. Even De ligt had more airtime than Haaland. His signing went on for like a year,He almost signed for every club in the world.

Its not often you see one of the worlds best players go to the premier league. They usually like to go to less physical leagues to keep their status. I am genuinly interested to see how he gets on

Great business from pep.. I'm a United fan and the way pep diverted our attention from haaland by teasing us with the Ronaldo deal.. That is brilliant business 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

As a United fan this solidifies the demise of utd being a top club. My nightmares realised, there so big they can attract our best players and our most sought after. What have the glazers done 😔

Kane will go to Chelsea for sure. Werner hasnt flourished, Lukaku is shaky, so I think Chelsea needs a striker most at the moment

Release clause isn't too expensive, but they'll be paying double that in wages in like a few months.
