In mid October we started our 14 day hike along the Manaslu Circuit with a detour into the beautiful Tsum Valley. This trail is known for its spectacular mountain views, ever changing landscapes, Tibetan culture and the Larkya La Pass at 5106m altitude. As the path slowly ascends you will have plenty of time to enjoy the views and to acclimatize proper too. The Tsum Valley, rich in cultural heritage, is off the beaten track and shouldn’t be missed when doing the Manaslu Circuit as it gives a slightly different perspective into this stunning region.
The day of the Pass was for sure one of the highlights when we started hiking at 03:00 am under the light of the full moon, approaching Larkya La Pass for sunrise, a truly amazing and surreal experience.
This trail runs through a restricted area, so hiking with a guide is mandatory. Many thanks to Anil, our guide from Discovery World Trekking, who made this journey an unforgettable one!
