Dr Drake is a Paediatrician who specialises in Pain Medicine and Palliative Care for children and is currently the Clinical Lead of the Paediatric Palliative Care and Complex Pain Services at Starship Children’s Hospital. In his presentation, Dr Drake explains the neurological pathways of pain and emphasises that pain is a biopsychosocial phenomenon, outlining the many angles of management including non-pharmaceutical approaches.
