Reasons why grievous quickly drains stamina when blocking blaster bolts: he died to a literal blaster and then got resurrected by the EA gods and put in the non cannon multiplayer game modes and he's trying his best to deflect a blaster bolt and panicking at the same time there you have it lol

Quick Tip: Grievous small jump attacks are faster then his basic attacks

Line up weaklings one hit kills assault and officer i think it works for specialist aswell but it can't for heavies it leaves them with 10 hp

Yep. 17:03. Just the heavies will have 20 health left and not 10.

using grievous’ thrust surge: when casting the animation, dodge away and turn your camera view away, and most of the time opponents don’t expect it. Thrust surge can easily be parried or dodged with blaster heroes. It looks like you’re disengaging from the opponent, and catches them off guard. :)

Yeah, but when you turn away you lose that lock on. You have to be looking at them in order for thrust surge to lock on though.

lol. Yeah, but you have to expose the game for that bug to work.

i think that the best use of grievous' jump is approaching heroes or enemies with a blaster. you know, jump around and dodge their shots until you get closer. that is, if you are all out of stamina and your abilities are recharging, while also being in a open space - not a tight one like a hall. would you agree, or are there better ways to get closer?

That's absolutely always a go to strat, but it just depends on if the enemy is hitting their shots or not. If not, then why not. If you're going against a decent player though, it probably won't be the best idea, but it also depends on what you have in your arsenical at the time and how far you are with how much health.

Grievous can swing faster if you jump Thrust surge can go through blocks Claw Rush can hit two times Cowardly retreat makes it so even if your enemy Parry's claw Rush you basically don't even care (90 damage reduction). For hvv and 1v1s sith trained does a ton of damage, melting after ability combos. In blaster modes (if you are willing to sacrifice beating heart) having cowardly retreat and flesh is weak can make you a tank giving you almost 100 damage reduction at critical health if combined with claw Rush. As long as you have claw Rush ready even if you have 20 health and getting spamed by everyone you will survive.And you can get health back really fast by just killing a couple enemies that can be done in the same claw Rush,(as long as you have line up weaklings). Whatever your playstyle is line up weaklings is a must have for blaster modes. Crash them make them suffer

Yes, I agree with almost everything here. Yes, Grievous can swing faster if you jump, but you're also more vulnerable. Thrust surge is not supposed to go through blocks, and claw rush is supposed to hit two times but most of the time only hits once.

@@phoevosfilms I know about claw rush. I don't think it's hard to time once you just have a tiny bit of practice and it's not me. It just bugs out and doesn't connect literally almost every time I use it. I know it's supposed to have that second hit, but once they buffed and nerfed him they just bugged out the ability completely.

To me, grevious is the best villian for taking down blaster heroes in 1v1 if uk wat to do My combo to killing blaster hero and them not being able to do anything is: 1. Open with thrust surge 2. Two regular swings (whilst they r knocked down cause u get 2 free hits) 3. immediately after the 2 hits, use claw rush (u will need the star card that increases claw rush's damage or they will most likely hav like less than 100 health afterwards and u would hav to hit them after u r done with claw rush)

I agree, and love the combo. I wouldn't say he's the absolute best, but definitely very good. Mine is like in the video and it's only a little different. The only difference is that instead of opening up with thrust surge, I open with claw rush. I do that because it allows me to be at a greater distance and take no to little damage compared to thrust surge where I can take quite a bit of damage getting near the opponent to use thrust surge and then taking more damage while in the activation animation or take a chance of them rolling to dodge it and then punish me with their blaster for it.

@@TheGrayJedi I use the star card that makes the thrust surge hav a 50% increase in range. Plus I never attack blaster heroes head on. That gives them time to dodge which is bad. Once u land the thrust surge, its a guaranteed killed unless u are interrupted by a CC or saber strike Its high risk because u are solely dependent on the thrust surge landing, but it gives a high rewards because they will be dead before they are even allowed to press buttons. I've done it so much, its clock work

@@Anonymous-rc7kq Yeah, I think there are better star cards. I like to go with the ones in the video more with my playstyle. Sometimes you're in the situation where you have to take the blaster hero head on. For example, you can be in a 1v1 situation in hero showdown when you're Grievous and someone picks Han. Edit: Well, I wrote a lot more than this, but KZread decided to cut off the second half of my response. Well, to put what I was saying shortly is that I like my playstyle because I'm guaranteed a hit on thrust surge if I do claw rush first because they are rag dolled. Both are good strategies because they both do the same damage. I just don't always like doing high risk maneuvers against skilled blaster users.

I'm new to playing as Grievous, I usually play as other characters and have just recently decided to start playing as Grievous. But I've heard people talk about bunny hopping and how to do it and all that, but what is the point of it? What does it do?

Well, people like it because his jump attack swing is faster than his normal attack swing, so people like to spam it. Although, the downsides to that is that it's not very consistent and pretty buggy because of the terrain. And because of that sometimes you'll jump a little higher than what you planned too, and then you can die because you're in the air and you can't defend yourself. Compared to sticking to the ground and being ready to block or use an ability to get out of the situation. Hope this gives you a bit of direction and clears things up. Overall, it can be an effective strategy, but like I said, there's some risk to it. It can also be hard to perform over and over again with server lag which this game tends to have a lot of at least on PlayStation.

General Grievous is arguably one of my favorite heroes in the game and most interesting/fun to use from the villains side. I love how fast his abilities come back but i don't think he is necessarily over powered like a lot of people say because yes his stamina sucks when it comes to blaster heroes so he feels pretty balanced imo.
