Man v Field: Metal Detecting UK - Two Digs, Two

Back out on the fields. We have two locations to metal detect so you'll see finds from both locations. Some fields are new to us and others a quick re-visit. Coins and artefacts from multiple periods pop up including a lovely Irish coin from the medieval period! Enjoy :)

Great channel as always. I've been watching laser cleaning metal videos on KZread and would love to know what the result would be on some of these heavily corroded/illegible coins. The laser only blasts away everything non-metal so it should bring up hidden detail. Of course the purists would protest just a bit. All the best from Canada.

Great suggestion! Just getting access to a laser might be a problem though :)

Hi. At 1:55 the object reminds me of what US metal detecting KZreadrs frequently refer to as a colonial 'bit boss' as part of bridles of that period.

Sorry to be pedantic, but the 1600's is the Stuart period, not Tudor. Elizabeth I died in 1603 and that was the end of the Tudors.

Cheers bud. Hmm, Deus II. Sounds great. I have two Deus machines now, one standard and the other using the X35 coils. The X35 defo much more stable. So, yes, I could be tempted if I sell my standard Deus and put the funds towards the mk. 11. Just not sure I'll jump onboard straight away though.

X35 11" coil. Have a look on the XP website for Garys Hot and Cold Programs and also the Sonar program.
