Were they 'plating stuff' in 1730? was there electricity then?

Gold and silver gilding has been around for centuries. Electroplating became common around early 1900s i think.

You seem to have really good finds from out in the fields . I was just wondering why you cut this video short ? You usually show all your Finds and write besides each of them telling what it is and how old they are and all cleaned up .
