This song was released 7 days after I was born! Still into the 70's I used to listen to S&G all the time, this is a timeless classic and Dave just made it even more immortal! I have heard Disturbed version probably 300 or more times. I can't stop listening to it. My mouth was open the whole time I sat and watched it. I was expecting to hear it destroyed and there I sat almost destroyed me. It almost brought me to tears. Rock on!

This song is the best, be it audibly, visually and/or emotionally. This song is my favorite to watch reactions to. I've only seen one group that didn't feel the lyrics like this. A truly poetic meaning/reaction to one of the first renditions I've ever seen/heard. I highly recommend the cover of close my eyes forever by Ozzy and Lita ford. David does it with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Absolutely beautiful. David's vocal range is incredible. After hearing this song and his amazing voice I went to see them in concert in Saginaw, Michigan 2 years ago. I took my cousin and we loved it. This song came out when I was a teenager by Simon and Garfunkel. Of course I am now 70, but I have told you that. I have a musical brain and I keep listening AND going to concerts. I did some research on David-- his great grandpa was a caller (singer) in the holy temples in Jerusalem! His voice had to be amazing because those kinds of notes are just pure talent to achieve. David believes he got his voice from him. 💜 Luv your reactions, similar to my own. When is your birthday? Are you a Sagittarius? December?? This man took his usual Disturbed voice that is so powerful and earth shaking to a voice of an angel,,, a powerful angel. His song The Light is one of my favourites . You should check it out.
