This looks SUPER suspicious and kinda seems more like they were murdered n burned to cover up evidence. Why would the WHOLE family be trying so hard to talk to the police? If the father was planning this I find it pretty unlikely that he'd be with them at the police station also trying to talk to the cops. This absolutely needs to be investigated more.

This doesn’t make sense. They all walked in the Sheriffs office asking for help, not just the women and her kids. Also she didn’t sound scared, or nervous at all while on the phone (which I’m thinking she would’ve been if her husband was crazy enough at the time to kill everyone within 10 minutes). It sounds like they received a threat they took serious, but didn’t think they were in immediate danger… I’m thinking someone set this up to look like a murder/suicide.

Its distorted for sure, but for what reason? She was identified and a picture was shown as well. I feel like the cops were involved some how, they most likely tried to file a complaint against one of the department's and they had some type of debilitating evidence against whomever. There was a similar situation in California I believe were the pd harrassed a civilian who was an auditor, I believe the same thing happened to him. Along with his house being set ablaze

This is suspicious because they went to the sheriff office together and the man said that he thought that he was being followed. I hope that they look into this more. Why would they go to the sheriff’s office together to report a dispute between them? The wife said that she was calling on behalf of her husband then gave the phone to him that’s when the connection dropped.

@May This may be true, as many others have asked????? Why would an entire family go into a police station seeking help, ask about protection, while putting a face with identity, ie CAMERA'S. It only took one of them to do that. She felt danger too. Then leave, and they both called. Almost similar story "Jennifer Hawke - Petit".... Only in this story, the mother wasn't fully aware of what her husband had dealing with. Which is why,her response is very vague.

Why would the man burn his house knowing that he'd kill himself too? Why would they want to report for safety? How did he still have a gun in his hand after killing himself? wouldn't it be around him at least? Someone definitely entered their home unlawfully. May they rest in peace.

The sheriff should be investigated and held accountable for this. This is clearly an assassination made to look like a murder suicide.

When people feel the need to go to these kinds of extremes to solve any *any* problem, there is something wrong in the most basic of terms. These innocent kids and that poor wife, I can't even imagine what was going on before this came to such a tragic and heartbreaking end. God bless them and the family they leave behind, so sad.

This happened close to where I live. My co worker was actually a best friend of the mother. She was very close. She told me about it and she said that her friend went into the police station and the guy was with her so she couldn't really say anything bc he was standing right there watching her. The mother was in a bad relationship with the dad and she didn't feel safe. She called my coworker a couple days before this happened saying so. And then this happened. It was really bad. Honestly whatever is the real story though nobody knows bc it was just weird to begin with. Even my coworker said so back when it happened.

I don’t know what to think. I read an article in which his mother says that he had a long-term brain injury from multiple concussions when he was younger (football). Article: “In April 2021, Ewing-Meeks was hospitalized due to ‘his suicidal thoughts, his extreme paranoia and the nightmares and the trauma he was suffering.’” So while it looks questionable, it’s unfortunately entirely possible that he did kill them and himself.

Some of us have families, children, etc & can’t even FATHOM doing some sh** like this. Others could be traumatized by similar events. I feel like somebody else was pressuring this family to not speak out and they tried to but the police failed in every way to help them. Update it was determined that the father indeed killed his family no other sources have come out as far as they were in danger seems like only danger was the father who killed his family

I’ve watched enough movies to know the man didn’t kill his family. Why was he at the police station in the first place? To report his future crime?

This is literally heartbreaking. The mom and her babies didn't deserve any of this. My biggest question is why didn't the cops go to her house after the phone call was “disconnected”? If that happened and they didn't call back or pick up when called again, I would have gone over, especially after she said “safety reasons”.

That’s what happens when you defund the police. Less funds, less cops, less staff-but more crime. With the currents funds, I’m surprised they could even afford someone to answer calls. 🥴

The police in this town…the call is disconnected and no one calls back or goes to check on the caller. Just even the lackadaisical response from the cops is horrible. They will not investigate. Very sad story.

@@paris2226 that's true, but the officer did initially call her back after 10 minutes. I can't say for certain what was said before the line disconnected because it wasn't included in the report. the police could've done better, but they weren't completely ignorant to the woman

They were still trying to grasp the severity of their situation. More than likely, what they were going to say as going to incriminate 1 or both of them too....

That wasn’t the entire call. If it disconnected why wouldn’t they try to call back or go to their house? She could have been looking at an intruder and the disconnect could have been the intruder entering for all they know.

I honestly think they didn't wanna investigate it further, so they just wrote it off as a suicide/murder. Black men always be getting framed for murder even while dead.

Something is not adding up , They was at the police station together, She makes a phone call about their safety. Now they all dead and the house on fire? Mybe detectives need to look more into it this case. I could be wrong , But sounds like a set up .

How was it determined so fast that this was a murder suicide?? It sounds like they were either being threatened or saw some signs something wasn't right. Maybe they needed to be careful who they spoke with at the sheriffs office. Maybe it was a murder case for all of them and staged to look like a suicide. Something isn't right with this story!!! ! This entire case needs to be investigated by an outside team (not the local authorities within that county). Everyone needs to be investigated with a fine tooth comb from the family to that entire police station and the people in that town.

Do they know for certain that he did it? Considering the facts-they had just gone to the police for some “vague” reason, she then called the police with a “safety concern”, the call was disconnected and nobody from the police followed up, and the scene of the crime was set on fire-I can only hope they investigate properly to ensure this wasn’t the work of someone else set up to look like murder-suicide.

I am so very sorry to hear this to see this these beautiful people, those gorgeous babies Every time I hear a story about this I think about how my father used to threaten the same thing on my mom us kids and himself. He did this every day on his way out the door to leave for work. My Central nerve for system did not calm down until he died as an old man in hospice, alone.

I’ve heard people doing really bizarre stuff but the telling part about this story is, the gun was still in his hand AFTER he shot himself. That’s very unlikely, it makes no sense at all, how the gun would still be in his hand.

1. Why did they leave the police department without speaking with an officer (the person that spoke with them needs to be questioned on what exactly happened) 2. WHY WHY WHYYYYY did they not go to her house when she called about a safety issue and the call got disconnected?? They can find her location even if she didn’t give it to them. This whole situation is weird very strange like if she was scared or knew he was going to do this why not stay at the police station. But at the same time if he knew he was going to do this why even go their? It has to be more to this story, it makes no sense. Family needs to do a private investigation and not trust local PD in this situation as well.

What if it was a “hit job?” They went as a family to the police. They could have been followed and then executed when they got home FOR going to the police. If he was in the drug game or a witness to a crime, the hit job could have been made to look like a murder-suicide… and the house, set on fire to destroy any possible evidence that could lead to a third-party suspect/ suspects.

We need to be investigating why the police would turn away anyone who walks in and asks to speak to an officer.

This is the weirdest story I’ve ever heard, it actually makes absolutely no sense. Why would he put the house on fire if he was going to kill himself too, why go to all that trouble… this is too suspicious!!!

As another KZreadr pointed out there was domestic abuse from her boyfriend in the recent past. .One reason for the ambiguous call might be because the boyfriend was in the house and had temporary left the room they were in and then she made the phone call but had to keep it short because the guy might come back into the room any moment.
