This movie had some really great scenes, a great overall story arc with twists, one of the best depictions if hell I have ever seen in any media, but also it had some weak parts to it like how all of Constantine's helpers kind of just died without any chance and he wasn't even really sad for Beeman, who gave him all the key items to succeed, and that other excorcist. He was only sad for Chas who btw became resurrected as angel in the end. The cgi for some of the monster was also bad but other cgi was good. Really hope they make a sequel finally.

@silaaron76 I’ve met a couple of “demons” (not in the religious sense, but murderers) and I never had a particularly hard time getting along with them. They’re good at disguising themselves, but it takes someone who’s half fucked up themselves to identify them. It’s kind of similar to the metaphor seen in this movie.

​@@donaldlivingston75haven't you noticed that the traditional "deal with the devil" is always the devil doing something nice for you in exchange for your soul later down the line? Usually it's with a contract, but he knows John is too smart for that, and is actively ascending, so he heals him to keep him within reach until he can claim the soul later.

Careful what you watch. There is alot of deception in movies such as this. For example, doing deeds in order to makes it to heaven or receive wjatsoever you desire on earth (longevity). Only Jesus Christ is whom you should believe in and his blood being the atonement for our sins. Id advice all who are interested in knowing more of the spiritual to read the bible. What the other guy said makes the most sense. The SS (particularly Hitler and the leadership) had a fixation regarding the paranormal. They tried finding the Holy Grail, among other things. That they discovered it, realized the power of it and then buried it makes the most sense.

No. During WWII the Germans went around gathering up all sorts of treasure, including religious artifacts, that was why it was wrapped in the flag. I tried watching this movie so many times and I was never able to finish it because is was bad. But then realized that if Matt Ryan was Constantine in this it would have been great. Please no offense to Keanu, but Matt is just a better Constantine.

this movie is straight up Bs. there is only one way to heaven and that is Jesus (our lord and saviour) there is no work in this world that could lead to salvation except for faith.

Of course, but keep in mind they are using Catholicism as a base. So trying to do good works makes sense in that case, just like suicide meaning you go to hell. In actuality suicide isn't an unforgivable sin.

@@menma199 Depends which one you ask. But look at their fruit, mortal sins for example, it's not Biblical but if you commit one then you have to tell a priest or you will go to hell. Not going to mass is a mortal sin. So if you don't go to church when you are perfectly able to and then die without repenting you will go to hell. There is a lot to get into with catholics lol
