O maior problema é que a música "brinca" com muitas coisas culturais e manias que só fazem sentido para quem conhece a cultura a fundo. The problem here is that the lyrics deals with deep regional cultural issues. To really understand the lyrics and it's meanings, you have to get to know the brazilian culture and it's regional differences. Like the "yellow Brasilia": witch is a very popular and very old car that happens to be the first Brazilian car project realized entirely in Brazil...and trough the years were used by simple people as their first car in life...( No girl would date you because of the car itself )

With only one album on their belt Mamonas had a meteoric ascension in Brazil in the 90's. I was only a child and listened to them all the time on Cassette. I made my birthday party mamonas themed and went with the striped prisoner suit they used in their shows. They were everywhere, the most popular tv shows, the most crowded shows, always laughing, smiling and cracking jokes, they captured pop culture with their parodies, uber charisma and references to other rythms. Their premature death in a plane crash devastated the nation, every year the day of their deaths is remembered and their appearances in tv shows from the time are reprised in all major channels. I still miss them.
