Mammon realizing the song was about him but not attacking Fizz in public before Fizz quit means he’s at least self-aware enough to realize losing his star performer is going to be a HUGE hit to his entertainment empire. It’s good that Mammon is going to be going through a rough time, but bad because it means he’s going to be absolutely OBSESSED with revenge.

I absolutely love the fact Asmodeus went giant form as well ready to fight with Mammon just for Fizz, like Asmodues was already fed up with the guy but after seeing how his lover was treated and the amount of emotional manipulation making Fizz second guess his own worth just set him off to the point of admitting his pure love to Fizz infront of everyone and not caring about potential furture repercussions

  • @johncronk8867

Ozzy also did it because his relationship with Fizz was the only thing that could’ve legitimately made Fizz reconsider at that moment. They might’ve had the talk in the dressing room, but such a feeling of potential loss doesn’t just disappear in a few minutes for something so powerful, especially when threatened by the one who could cause that loss. So, Ozzy admitted his love, so there was nothing holding him or his Froggy to Mammon.

I like how Ozzy only confronted Mammon directly after Fizzy did. Yo can't go and help someone in the way you think is right behind someones back. And Ozzy and Blitz made their stance on the matter very clear and only took direct action when Fizz was either actually in danger or gave some form of sign he wanted the help.

The reason why mammon is so good imo is the fact that he is the only sin we’ve seen actually be a horrible person, sins like Ozzie and Bee seem to be genuinely decent to good people and overall actually care for the people around them despite the fact their the literal embodiment of sins but mammons different, he is genuinely evil and doesn’t have any emotional attachment to anyone but himself and money which imo makes him probably up there as one of the best villains of the show with striker.

my favorite bit is how within the early flashback Mammon quote says he doesn't do female clowns because women aren't funny just as soon the creator's name pops up. Still find it hilarious on the concept that the Prince Sin of Lust, a sin all about that pleasure, has the healthiest relationship with M&M being a 2nd runner up. Do Love seeing that kid being allowed to walk up and talk to Fizz by sign language, it made it also cute seeing as how the kid also has abit of his horns broken, and we know that Fizz has a soft spot for things like this hence the white little pet he had in the last episode. So up to now we know Queen Bee turns into a full insect, Ozzy is supposed to be a flaming rooster/chicken, and now Mammon is a Spider. All thats left is seeing what look Satan, Leviathan and Belphegor has both in appearance and their full on giant animal look. One thing I had trouble comprehending is the twin sister clowns in what kind of demons they are. Are they imps or possibly demons from the envy ring??

I bet Asmodeus also hates Valentino because this pimp overlord was a knockoff of himself he copied his empire, a toxic boss like Mammon, and he forced lust on to everyone especially Angel Dust. But he hated Mammon more then Valentino because he knew him since the beginning of hell. He knew that Mammon only care the money and profits not the well-being of otherd especially Fizz. Fizz had the guts to stand up to Mammon by singing a song about his abuse and how much of a jerk Mammon to him. I think that when Angel finally stand up to Valentino he's going do it with a song like Fizz. This was my favorite episode Yesterday I'll watch it over and over again.

I genuinely enjoy there being sins that are compassionate or kind since I always imagined them as being above human nature. They exist as the embodiment of temptation themselves, but not necessarily ACTING on the temptation. They've lived long lives and although in hell, I always pictured the sins of hell to be above human affairs, turmoil, and sinful behaviors. They may BE the sins, but may not necessarily ACT OUT the sins. And while there are sins that do act on their nature, it's nice to see the opposite view of sin Kings/Queens as well. I'm curious to see Lucifers nature as well. If he'll act on behalf of the sin he represents, or if he's above the sins of humans and holds himself to a higher standard.

Random thought. Anybody else notice the design of the sins? Manly how many arms they have? Lucifer and Asmodeusu have two arms, yet Beelzebub and Mammon have four? Could that be because the other two have more human like powers or roles, with pride and lust? And the other two are more wild like gluttony and greed.

I have a personal theory/head canon that the sins are all fallen angels (with Lucifer being the main one), and which some of them still retain part of that healthy virtuous nature they possessed when they were angels, while still embodying their sin in some way, like Ozzie and Bee, while others abandoned that "angelic" nature entirely, like Mammon.

Under any other circumstances, Mammon would have forced him to keep working at best or flat out killed and replaced him at worst. Fizz likely wouldn’t even be with Mammon in the first place if it weren’t for Ozzy. Blitz said they’ve only been in each other’s general vicinity twice in the last 15 years, which likely began at the accident, but Fizz has only been the running winner of the clown pageant for 10 years, leaving a 5 year gap where we don’t know exactly what happened-However, he likely met and got help from Ozzy then, as Fizz’s prosthetics have a heart symbol at their base and glow the same blue characteristic of the Lust Ring. Without the prosthetics, Fizz would’ve had a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the pageant, and he likely only participated years later because it was a childhood dream of his, and Ozzy likely didn’t think it would last as long as it did.

It stems from insecurities, of not being as good as someone/something else or not having something that someone/something else has. There must be a fundamental crack in your ego to have envy, for if you were truly proud, then you wouldn’t feel the need to covet the possessions/qualities of others, or at least you wouldn’t want them in the same way or for the same reasons. Mammon in the first time a sin has been represented as what they should be. Ozzie being actually in love goes in direst opposition to his sin and its not like hes only like that with fizz but with everyone else hes just horny. Ozzie doesn't seem to be lustful at all unless its to put up an appearance. Same with beelzebub, she actually told blitzo to stop drinking or to calm down. Not really something the gluttony sin would ever think about or say out loud. Mammon being the only sin who actually acts like the sin hes made from is a breath of fresh air and I hope they give a really good reason why the sins don't act like how they really should be.

Deadly sins act out of character, daughter of Lucifer is redeeming sinners, if you are a powerful enough sinner you do not even suffer but can become an overlord that lives in luxury , Goita famlies are falling a part, classism and racism are growing to the point it was never even intended, angel weapons are being melted down to become guns to be used by randos. This is not hell anymore. It is a clusterfuck that needs change. Very much like our own world it makes no actual sense and people ignore it.

For now i have only one problem with Helluva boss... Asmodeus, Mammon etc do not feel like great rulers of the hell but more like celebrities that on daily basis meet normal citizens or care what people think and they do not seem powerfull... In first season they did this great with Stolas he seem nice but at time he was terryfine but after this when we were just introduce to more demons yea we see the difference but not that big :/

I don’t fully agree. Remember Fizz is still looking for the one who destroyed Loo Loo Land. And I also have a feeling that the show will be revisiting Blizt and Frizz’s backstory again. However, I do believe that it’s possible that Fizz’s role will be toned down a few notches for a while.

The crazed fan seems to represent Fizz’s internal monologue and anxiety. When he finally feels at ease and secure, that character (and his anxiety) die. And seeing how blitz was always the one having Fizz’s back against his own personal doubts and was the one fighting off this fan seems to also suggest that.

I was expecting Mammon to have a musical number like the other princes. But I understand why he doesn’t get one: As Asmodeus said, Mammon stopped doing any clown stuff. As the prince of greed, he no longer wants to be the entertainment. He wants to be the show runner. As long as someone else does all the work, he can reap the benefits from the background. Kinda sloth-like, but the fact that he shows his face and reminds everyone that he runs the show (as MC of the pageant, the salesman of the commercial, the episode title), it proves that he thinks everything is his from the spotlight to the brand deals.

Come on Fizz has trouble with his love life since his mom gave him to a group of entertainers to have him tell when times would be right of knowing of one side of his family he never knew because she couldn't afford to care for him he never knew his dad, Blitz's dad fired his step parents and their entire team when he was like 12 or 13 yrs old ordering him to choose whom to be with not to mention he was soon letting the whole bad fans or other bad people target him, then more misunderstandings approached him with Blitz until they reconciled when they were kidnapped. Now Oz and Fizz are going to take forever to have their time to fix from 1 incident.

We need more episodes like this where there isn't a joke during a serious moment, or at least one that takes you off topic. I also love how the sin of greed/ Mammon has enough self control to let the show finish despite getting upset in the middle of it and bops along with it. Like he allowed Fizz to finish before scolding him. It's a nice touch that a lot of greed interpretations don't have, that being self control. Mammon isn't obsessed with money like Mr. Krabs, but is obsessed with fortune enough to where he'll manipulate anyone and thing in order to get his way, whilst playing a positive business man character to cover his manipulation tactics. Fizz fell for that fake character and was blind to Mammon's manipulation. This reminds me of what we know as a perasocial relationship, how we fall for the fake character that represents a company or business (and also celebrities and influencers). For example, this is why we use, for example, doctor seuss as insperation porn despite the fact that he cheated of his wife. This is why we look at studios such as MGM fondly despite the fact that they hired hit campaigns to silence female actors who were abused back in the day. Viv did a great job at portraying this character as, imo, it's the most dangerous sin of all, and we have many modern-day examples of it at its worst. Like yah, shocker that corporations will do whatever makes them the most money, even if it goes against human rights/ decency. Edit: I also love how his nickname is "Mam" it really reminds me of Karens in the work place, which is a nice little nod.

I will gladly say it one more time - Mammon is a gem of the show. He is at least for now the most hell belonging character, a real representation of one of the sins, he's aggresive but sometimes he's so funny in his aggression especially when it comes to commercials. Yeah, I like Oz-Fizz line but as a lust prince Asmodeus was completely destroyed and it feels so wrong in a context of hell. And I don't even mention Bee which is such a nonsense that I still just wanna forget her. So yeah Mammon is one big love for me haha😅❤

Here’s my theory for why the deadly sins aren’t as evil as you think. Except mammon of course. They’re fallen angels not hell born demons and they haven’t had to struggle nearly that much being on top since the beginning. They really don’t really much of a reason to be dicks like the rest of hell’s denizens.

I feel like they are building up the relationship between Fizz and Ozz, which was to add to the characters like we've seen, but maybe it's to make the impact of Mammons revenge that much more powerful. Practically everyone loves Ozz, and if revealing that secret makes Lust as a sin weaker overall, we all know that Mammon would take full advantage to hurt Ozz and Fizz as revenge

Personally, since the sins are trying to spread their vice among their citizens, I thought they would all be nice at first. Then Later we see their true evil sides. Not going to lie it also irked me that Greed was the one they broke this theory with, a combination of low hanging fruit and my experience of anti greed being taken as anti capitalism.

I think they’re so obvious in their depictions (lust=sex, greed=money) because that’s how the mainstream perceives them. They do embody all aspects of their sins (Lust is all intense desires, Greed is wanting more of anything and everything), but since people primarily see sins in a specific way, they act to fit such. If there were a major paradigm shift in how people perceive a sin(s), they would probably change to fit the primary incarnation of their sin perceived by the masses.

It is basically mentioned by Mammon himself, why Fizz stayed and was so insistent on doing the pageant all the years including this one was blackmail! 7:56 Yea I don’t see Hell’s Overlords and other Deadly Sins sitting this out there is at least 1 or 2 more episodes that’s gonna deal with this. Also remember Fizz and Ozz are ment to mirror Blizz and Stolas to a degree. But what would make for some great entertainment, is maybe that Ozz is forced to break up with Fizz. Perhaps by Satan himself. It would be so much drama and so many more stories could be told about them and run parallel with Blizz and Stolas.
