But I acoustic, amazing how her voice is basically filling the entire song, the guitar was just adding a little extra, kind of amazing how she can sing a ballad and rock with basically no band and still sound full. She can play the piano and some other instruments. She has done live piano a couple times live with mamamoo and of course that training video with Wheein. And it is hilarious to do her own reaction video to her own song, Moonbyul and Solar did that with Chico Malo also. All great videos and those live performances, I really hope Solar does a world tour like Moonbyul and Wheein and she end up in Los Angeles again.

I normally prefer the most stripped back version with a minimum in the way of Solar's vocals, but while this still sounds good, It's definitely better with the band.

I have no doubt the acoustic rendition was live but I'm not sure what we saw was what we heard. There were cords to the mics and the guitar but I failed to see what they were plugged into. There should have been an amp, a mixing board, a computer interface, something big enuf to be visible, or else a bunch of cables going off screen, which I didn't see either (and they would have been so long that the sound quality would have suffered). Also don't know what they were supposedly picking up with the mics on the stands. Natural ambient sounds more than the performance since there's no "room" sound to capture but the sound on my computer isn't very good and I didn't hear any natural sounds. Lol. Yeah, at Music Bank she was playing the electric piano but we weren't hearing it cuz there were neither power nor instrument cables connected to it. Same with the guitar and bass and the drums weren't mic'd. That's always been one of my complaints about band performances on these music shows. The musicians just mime their parts and there are no power or instrument cords or mics for the drums. I don't expect a full on band performance on tv shows but it seems to me they could do a better job of faking it. I'm sure you've seen the Colors video by now. Another Only Mamamoo, Only Solar moment. 😂

In the first wide shot of the acoustic version from behind Solar. You can see the cables run across the side walk past the camera and down to the edge of the screen. And what looks like the corner of the table. I suspect the grey box is a signal repeater of some kind. A lot of acoustic-electric guitars come with a pre-amp built in. As far as the back ground noise. They can filter out a lot of the wind/background from the vocal track by using the boom mic's audio as a baseline for noise to filter.

I heard that's why Rolling Quartz stopped promoting on Music shows was because they weren't allowed to play their instruments live, which was always absurd sounding to me. And I haven't yet! We'll be doing the Colors performance video next week! I just wasn't going to be able to get it up for today sadly.
