He played like crap that whole game WTF. He's a much more talented quarterback than this video shows. This accentuates a lot of the negatives. But this game was also from a couple years ago

@@troubled_envy honestly, that’s one of my favorite parts about Willis. You look at last year when he played like total crap to this year, and Willis looks a lot better as a playmaker and a deep ball thrower/throwing to the sideline.

Henson Hooker definitely outplayed him in this game tho

That shows that it’s not over until it’s over great win by liberty!

I was more impressed with VT’s QB Hooker than I was with Malik Willis. Don’t get me wrong, Willis has an excellent skill set as a RPO/Read-Option Type QB, but if his first read isn’t open, he pulls the ball down and runs instead of moving in the pocket for his second option in the passing progression… He is way better than Dewayne Haskins but has similar traits in the passing game. He needs to sit behind a veteran QB for a year or two to hone his game imo .

@@ericpackers1700 you also have to think of playing style, if you tried to switch lamar Jackson and Aaron rogers, and try to keep the same playing style of the team, it wouldn't work. Auburn is big on keeping a pocket qb, not a scrambler. It really depends on the coaching style and team dynamic.

As a Virginia Tech fan, I was watching this game live, and I was so mad at the end. If we didn’t call that timeout, we would’ve won.

What a costly game for Virginia Tech they would've won the game won if the coach didn't called timeout or if the defense played tight coverage this game would've gone into OT I know Liberty felt so relieved to victory

if you look at all of the greatest quarterbacks the top five respectively... all pocket passing cerebral intelligent quarterbacks. they could process the defensive information and make a quick assessment on where to go with the ball and execute. I'm not so confident in these running style quarterbacks because I've been watching football all my life and I've never seen it pan out into super bowls for that style of QB 🧐 🤔

This tells us a lot about Willis. If he goes to the right place, then we will see someone who will sit behind while his bad habits get coached out, and he becomes an electrifying playmaker. On the other hand, if he starts day 1, we will see what was seen during the bad moments of this footage. However, I wouldn't be so quick to blame all of the mistakes on Willis. In pretty much every play, we see his entire o-line collapse in front of him, forcing him to do something with nothing. It's truly insane when it works out, absolutely disastrous if it doesn't. Meanwhile, you saw Virginia Tech's oline consistently provide Hooker with cover to make the plays he needed to make. Blown open coverages left and right. I do think Willis is a first rounder, but he's gonna need a good situation to truly bring out his potential.

Human highlight reel? Human fumble machine. This is a poor representation of how good of a quarterback he is

I honestly didnt see anything great from this video...3 fumbles with 2 lost 2 potential picks a couple bad underthrows. Nothing spectacular if this was his best game this year
