Man Smith was throwing some major bombs in this game alot of quarterbacks. Playing in the NFL today that don't throw the ball that far
I miss when college players were generally from the area of the team they played for. Pretty sure every offensive starter except Holmes was from Ohio. Good luck finding anything close to that on any D1 program now let alone the top ones

Ya they said that in the video. Good fact bud
The split jersey game with AJ Hawk and Brady Quinn! So many awesome players and personalities on in this game too, Samadzija, Schlegel, and of course General Bobby Carpenter! This OSU team had nearly beaten Vince Young and the eventual champs Texas in a shootout at the Horseshoe, while Notre Dame had nearly beaten Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and the defending champs USC, both these teams were close to being in that Rose Bowl title game themselves
One of the best Buckeye games of my lifetime

Ohio State had 34 this game but tonight they scored 31 combined.
Oh yeah, I remember this! Great bowl game.
Fun fact idk if people remember this but #83 for ND is jeff samardja he went on to be the Chicago cubs starting pitching n actually had a really good couple year run
