May I suggest: aluminum foil in place of newspaper. Good tutorial!

@3:09 you put the hot glue down the whole staff? Then put tissue and white glue over it to get that ridged effect? Sorry got kinda confused there

yes as you say hotglue have smooth surface so i use tissue & white glue make it look rough
