Male lion doesn’t want to Share his Meal with Lion pride - Kruger National park

3 of the 5 sweni male lions and their pride feeding on a buffalo in the Kruger National Park.
One of the Sweni males wasn’t keen on sharing a buffalo with his brothers and pride. He initially chased one of his brothers off the kill and became more and more agitated as vultures and hyenas kept getting closer. He gave chase to a bunch of vultures on a few occasions and got up to chase hyenas which gave room for some of the pride to feed. He then chased his pride off the kill again so he could have it to himself. It appears only 4 of the 5 Sweni males remain as we haven’t seen the 5th one for awhile. These guys are currently one of the most impressive coalitions in Kruger.

Those are the biggest stomachs I have ever seen on KZread. Those males are HUGE with those huge bellies and he still fights the lionesses for food.
OMG...that male lion is MASSIVE! And not only that, his mane is so fricking full. As a matter of fact, all the lions in that pride look so very big & healthy. They are obviously living LARGE right now, huh? And can we talk about how FAST that male lion is when charging at the lioness?! No wonder the whole pride gives that male a wide berth. Thanks for this clip.

HE HAS THE LEAST SWOLLEN STOMACH OF THE WHOLE PRIDE, REWATCH THE VIDEO IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE. IT'S THE WHOLE REASON HE'S NOT PLAYING, HE CAME TO THE MEAL LATE.

Is that Mohawk , Has to be as Dark Mane and Blondie succumbed to Buffalos 🐃 due to prior injury and with the Subadults wanting to contribute in my humble opinion and Blondie to TB from probably tainted Buffalo meat or ? Bad way to go as I saw Tyson Scars brother succumb across the border there in the southern region , The lion dynamics are changing with older kings hanging on as the challengers grow or are bring the fight for the pride as the established older are patrolling, With Blondie gone under a year ago he will have a hard go of it at eleven or so ? Dark mane was more with the other pride aging more and living with a injury that compromised him with a front leg, Sure a thick area in there , Get out of your vehicle and walk among them , Kidding , He did share a meal with DM near DM’s bad run in with the buffalo and he died after hanging on a couple days at most , Broken ribs and punctured lung to a paw swollen and lack of water and food to predators seeing his body language in his slow gait and smell internal injuries . I suspect that the park feeds the animals most of the time. But that male lion is selfish and a glutton, since he won't share.

Wrong, Kruger National Park is 20 square km and part of SA, Zim & Botswana Transfrontier Park, no one is hunting for the beasts of prey, they hunt for themselves, and no one is unfairly interfering with the Park's natural ecosystem!
