They will take both dollars and maldivian rufiya.. It's better that you keep both currencies with you..in certain places they won't take dollars.. But most of them prefer dollar also.. So its better you keep both dollars and rufiya with you..

Airport is in hulhule island.. After reaching that airport island, i went to capital male city.. It is near hulhule.. You can go by bus or boat. From male, i went to maafushi island.. Half an hour journey in a speed boat to reach maafushi from male.After Spending 1 day at maafushi, went to male again.. Explored male city. Then went to himmafushi island.. Spend only 3 hours there.. Then went to hulhumale island.. Spend 1 day there
