I'm glad you called this to my attention .I've just re-listened to this for the first time in over a year;and as my tastes change and evolve I'm happy to retract my comment and say to myself-What on earth could I possibly have been thinking?Except for the last two words which I still find too showy and overdone.Didn't know he had passed & had never heard of him.I intend to check him out more thoroughly.So thank you for responding to my comment........

Malcolm Roberts,a wonderful voice,very underrated singer who unfortunately is no longer with us. An excellent vocal range,great presence and the ability to project his voice,wonderful. Class is permanent,style is temporary.

calls too much attention to his admittedly excellent vocal technique and does so at the expense of the feelings expressed in the lyric-too ostentatious and insincere-but of course, the paradox is that he's obviously an excellent singer-perfect for people who are impressed by surfaces and uninterested in challenges....too smooth, too slick
