Nowadays, most mamak roti canai, the dough is ready made/supplied by factory..u let your roti a few minutes, it become hard to chew already. Malay roti mostly still home made daily, and softer n fluffier than mamak one.. So, if i ate at mamak, i'll go for roti banjir, fish curry

Yes you’re right! I have noticed this also at mamak places. Their dough is premade. But the Malaysian roti was amazing

Wa Alaikum Salam! Yes I saw a page for voting. I don’t like those pages because they are bias. You see, that page is made for everyone to vote. So the results depends on what kind of people are voting. If you look at votings from Europe then you would probably see focaccia bread as the winning bread. So it’s all about personal taste. I don’t think we can say which bread is the best, it’s all about taste from person to person. Sometimes I really crave focaccia for example. But if I would visit Asia I crave roti canai. If you look at food competitions, like the world championships. Then the most tasty and advanced food wins. Like gourmet, molecule cooking. That doesn’t always have to be the most delicious one. Many times I prefer fried rice over Michelin star food. I think many times are way better than Michelin star food.

You can find roti canai in Southern Thailand...but sometimes they make a twist to a sweet version like pancake... to dip with condensed milk, or they put chocolate as filling...no curry, sambal or dhal lol 😁
