Malaria Lifecycle -- no narration (2016) by Drew Berry wehi.tv
Ғылым және технология
This visualization reconstructs malaria infection of a human child via mosquito bite, through invasion of cellular tissues including liver and blood.
All features are to scale, including mosquito, blood vessels, human cells and parasite.
The visualization is the first of its kind to present live-behavior models, including the mosquito's bite technique, parasite invasion method, and patterns of blood flow.

It wasn't THAT deadly (depend on the variant). And depend on the place, most people I know had contacted it at least once, and medicine is readily available. I can imagine it is more deadly for non native people though. Malaria aside, dengue fever is more of an issue at the moment. Both are transmitted by mosquitos
I was having goosebumps throughout the video..
This is horrifyingly informative. Thanks.....

Did u know there is a species of plasmodium (malarial parasite) called plasmodium falciparum responsible for cerebral malaria. It's the most deadly form of malaria where the parasite starts eating away brain cells leading to full body shutdown and also mental retardness.
Also brings me goosebumps in serval change periods
I didn't imagine that parasites could use sexual reproduction, but it makes sense. Incredible video!

Kudos to the Cameraman who shrunk and followed the malaria developing in this person's body for several days.
Thanks for the video. Now I understand more about malaria. My question is, how can we determine an infected mosquito? They don't have signals visible to our eyes indicating they are carrying malaria.
@akul7359
Жыл бұрын
Not really see malaria doesn't affect the mosquito as it is the primary host and we humans are more like the secondary hosts. They remain docile in their salivary glands and then when into us destroy our Rbc.
Female mosquitoes make that sound? edit: oh i just read in wikipedia that it is the females that make the high-pitch noise, and males have larger antennae that can hear it. Interesting! Someone once told me that only males make the noise >:(, oh well, thx internet for fixing that misconception.
This Was Glorious Best One Seen In Ages
