MAKS 2019 has arrived!!!
There goes the first video of this year's edition.
In the featured video, Roman Kondratiev (Роман Кондратьев), first-class test pilot of the Sukhoi Company performs an amazing flight display with the latest and most modern russian 5th generation fighter aircraft, the Sukhoi SU-57 during MAKS 2019 on August 28th at Ramenskoe airport in Zhukovskiy.
Unlike in previous editions, now the pilot is showcasing a higher speed segment of the aircraft's flight envelope which puts this flight display apart from those seen previously, which focused more on the low speed envelope. Despite this, the pilot performed a wide array of post-stall maneuvers boasting off yet again the extreme maneuverability and controllability that make this fighter jet a formidable adversary in air to air combat.
Moreover, on August 27th, President Putin and President Erdogan met at the airshow to discuss a possible deal including export versions of the Su-35 and the Su-57. If Turkey ends up inking a contract to acquire any of these russian-made fighter jets, it will be a big deal for the russian aerospace industry. The negotiations are still developing.
The Sukhoi Su-57, previously designated T-50 (Сухой Су-57 / T-50) is a single-seat, twin-engine, stealth fighter aircraft with multirole capability but designed for air superiority and attack operations. This jet aircraft is the product of the PAK-FA (ПАК-ФА, Перспективный авиационный комплекс фронтовой авиации, literally "Prospective Aviation Complex of Frontline Aviation"), a fifth-generation fighter programme of the Russian Air Force. The first prototype performed the maiden flight on January 29, 2010. Deliveries of production aircraft to the Russian Air Force are expected to begin in 2018.
The fighter is intended to succeed the MiG-29 and Su-27 in the Russian Air Force and to serve as the basis for the Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft (FGFA) while complementing the recently built fleets of SU-35S and SU-30SM. The initial production batch are to be delivered with a highly upgraded variant of the AL-31F engine, extensively used by the Su-27 family while a totally new turbofan jet powerplant is being designed from scratch. In fact the first prototype of this engine has already been fitted into a SU-57 airframe and has already begun testing.
The Su-57 has a blended wing body fuselage and incorporates all-moving horizontal and vertical stabilizers. The aircraft incorporates thrust vectoring nozzles and has adjustable leading edge vortex controllers (LEVCONs) that improve high angle of attack behaviour. The advanced flight control system and thrust vectoring nozzles make the aircraft highly maneuverable in both pitch and yaw, enabling it to perform post-stall maneuvers such as the Pugachev's Cobra and the Bell maneuver, along with doing flat rotations with little altitude loss. The aircraft's high cruising speed and normal operating altitude is also expected to give it a significant kinematic advantage over older fighter jet generations.

@@abhishekjackson8552 we must not go for MiG-35, it's true that MiG-35 is cheaper than other aircrafts in the MMRCA competition and Russians are also offering ToT for the MiG-35 but the time of 5th generation aircrafts has started long ago and other big countries are moving towards 6th generation aircrafts then why should we go for MiG-35, just because it's cheap and we are getting ToT of MiG-35. China has already inducted their J-20 (stealth fifth generation aircraft) and we are no way close to them in terms of air power as their adversaries. So, we must go for rafales. Rafales are expensive but we can pay for it in installations to France. But we must not compromise on our air power for the sake of cheap price per unit. No doubt MiG-35 is a 4.5 generation aircraft but Rafale is the best option among all the fighters in the MMRCA competition and it can give a tough fight to fifth generation aircrafts like J-20. And there is no point buying Su-57, because Su-57 and Su-35 is quite similar with minor changes and Su-35 aur Su-57 ki price main bohot difference hai, dono hi bohot mehenge hain. We don't need Su-35 either, our IAF is planning to upgrade Su-30MKI to Super Sukhoi standard which will be equivalent to Su-35 if not better. So, the IAF and GoI must spend wisely keeping their future plans in mind for IAF.

@@soy-caleno-y-que6490 , разумеется! Ф-22 разрабатывался по идеям и технологиям 30-летней давности. "Встал на крыло" он, фактически, уже 20 лет назад. Кроме того, концептуально, это "истребитель завоевания превосходства в небе" только! Вот почему им потребовался Ф-35 для "работы по земле". Су-57 = Ф-22 + Ф-35. "Шампунь и кондиционер в одном флаконе", как это говорили в рекламе лет двадцать назад.

The Mig 29 can travel to the Earth's stratosphere, if you have enough in your piggy bank they take you there. The F 16 a beautiful bird also managed it on one occasion to shoot at an old satellite. The Pilot had to push himself to extremes to get it done, your blood will boil at such heights

As an American I love my F-22As and F-35As, and what they can do, but if Imma be 100% honest, Id rather watch Russian airshows over USA's airshows any day, even though TVR doesnt play too much of a role in BVR anymore. SU-57 dance baby dance

Unparalleled maneuvre in the Western World. Mostly all 4+++ Gen. fighters perform to a high standard in the pitch axis. This is the first time I witness such an amazing stunt in the yaw axis without killing all available airspeed and on towards the next evolution in force.

@@Optimaloptimus It may look the same but it is not. The Su-35 can perform it flatter, faster with full control. F-35 and 22 rely more on keeping some descending speed to control this maneuver.

Airguardian Descending speed is used in both, and just because it’s flatter does not mean it’s not the same maneuver. It’s called a controlled flatspin, pilots in WWII and WWI performed it with absolute impunity. All that matters is how you handle getting out of it. The difference between what you saw here and any video with the Raptor or the F-35 performing it is how quickly the pilot chose to get out of it. In this video the pilot chose to get out of it as quickly as possible, the Raptor and F-35 chose to leave a little slower and more methodically, it seems almost majestic with how slow and very well controlled it is for such a precise maneuver out of said flat spin. The only message I get out of that flatspin maneuver is that the computers on the Su-57 are not as precise and as advanced as those of the F-35 or the Raptor because the pilot must get out of it before any control is lost, meanwhile American pilots in either can take their time and not have to worry about any sort of set backs.

Ordnary people are thinkig positive about russina nation even our history was never easy we have common roots , smilar culture, language and mentality...We are not afraid , one day our countires will start do make business and have a fun togehter ...as friends ,but you have to stop thinking Poland is another russian vassal...

You're right, the Su-57 doesn't belong anywhere in the same sentence as the F-35. Unlike the F-35, the Su-57 hasn't even shown any evidence of even shooting its guns or A2A missiles in flight; only prototypes have been built; it has no foreign orders; it's been called 5th gen in name only; it's only partner was India, an ally who spent hundreds of millions on it, backed out of the partnership citing numerous issues. etc.

@@Thetequilashooter1 it's true it hasn't been to combat that we know off, but I'm sure the Russian Military will not miss a chance to use it in Operation to target US armed extremists in idlib, Syria. The SU 57 isn't even available for purchase yet but its display in MAKs2019 in Paris, has proven its flying ability. How somebody could not enjoy the manoeuvres the SU 57 I can only guess you hate everything Russian. Its still a baby but its potential will have Countries flocking to buy it, and others wishing the disaster of the F 35 would be pulled. I know Alot of European Countries where suckered into backing, manufacturing parts and buying them eventually. It was a great idea or move by Lockheed Martin to get them to buy into its project because its a disaster its nearing two decades and still models for the Navy, Air force and international orders are causing problems. I think the F 16 is a beautiful bird and still a beast today. The F35 is a disaster its stleath coating erodes and rusts in the Region of the middle East the place it will no doubt see most action. The israeli Air force love there 17 (16?) F 35 so much they are not been used atm when BIBI is bombing Syria Iraq Lebanon and Palestine in the run up to the Election. There is rumours an Israeli F35 sustained sharpnel damage and had its stleath coating ruined in the same incident an F 16 was downed over Israel when they targeted Syrian Soldiers fighting AlQaeda. The Syrians used a 1960s soviet S 200 system! No a bad piece of a SAM system for its age.

There are talks of buying su57, only after it gets successfully inducted in Russian inventory 5. S-400 payments are done 6.kamov sea helicopters are on the way More kinds of stuff going in Indian navy and indian army..like ak203(search wiki_), naval vessels, subs etc. India's arms imports are 58% from Russia. Despite sharing some percentage of the development cost of su-57 with russia, India backs off temporarily leaving the project. You gotta dig info by yourself why that happened. pretty valid reasons.

You dont buy airplane for its beauty. I eould like more 5 F-22 or 7 F-35 then 10 Su-57. Russian electronics and rockets are not asa advanced as US. This would ve very poor choice for Turkey.

It's just incredible like I want to cry from the beauty but punch somebody in the face because of the dominance displayed. As an Amerrican I'm glad we have a bunch of F22/35's vs them with limited Sukhoi, but what a beast. This 2nd Top Gun featuring the SU57, Darkstar concept, P51, F14, F18, man they did a great job.

@@darishore814 Yeah man, There is a country which is begging everywhere and their citizens are dying from starvation, doesn't have fuel for their military jets, biggest hub of terrorism and motherland of Jesh-E-Mohammad, Osama bin laden etc. but they are still challenging India to jump into war with them.. that's why we called them BEGGARS and Losers.. 😁😁🤣🤣

Tech Revention please keep yourself up to date with what the Indian govt and the Indian Air Force's stand is on SU-57. I feel India should focus on AMCA. If Russia is planning on selling these to Turkey, the chances of India buying these fade more and more. Why didn't India buy f16? You know right? These factors are very important. India has already spent about $300 million in FGFA which was going to be a derivative of SU57 (formerly know as PakFA). But that deal has slowly started to fade as well.

@@Nick-mh3uo Why F16 Falcon, why not F-35 lightning ?? because now India doesn't have any military aircraft with such stealth capabilities and even after knowing the fact that f16 is an 4th++ gen jet while f35 is a FGFA and future proof machine, spending money on tech which most of the countries already have doesn't make sense at all.. though i agree on the point that India should continue focusing on home-grown weapons like (upcoming) Tejas MKII and AMCA etc.

conantdog no not really... if flies beautifully but engines were unreliable and wasn’t truly stealthy plus systems and weapons never integrated!

Technically, the Su-57, just like the Su-35 and F-22 Raptor, all feature 1D nozzles. The 3D control on the russian fighters come from the fact that the axis of the nozzles is canted 32° from the vertical plane. ;)

@@Airguardian Obviously your ignorant of TVC as it relates to 3d gimbal control. It's all a matter of the FBW systems having a greater calculation control of the flight envelope of the aircraft. So am's you's be not soundings to bright! "DUH"!

It's is partly developed by India and Russia under FGFA program but India betrayed because this project took lots of time and money
