the blue absorbs more of his leaking mana and makes it durable, red uses that stored mana for his offensive combat.

@@jahm24Each color has a higher defense for certain things. If I remember right red is highly resistant to slashing and fire, blue to I think blunt and ice. It keeps the absorption rate in either color.

It's kind of easy to forget that not only are Makoto's rings supposed to drain his power, but even his clothes are cursed to act in the same manner. And he's still holding back when he does this. He is-to put it mildly- absurdly powerful.

Makotos rings don't drain his power. It just absorbs his evaporating mana. Imagine yourself going for a run in the morning. in cold weather you can still see water evaporating from you. my sister called my sweat sayajin at these moments Makoto on the other hand has an output of evaporating water like several cooling towers from powerplants. and the rings absorb this evaporation, thats why nobody sees his mana. He also uses his concealing Kai on top of it.

@@vogelfaenger6830 it's really more of that they drain the insane amount of mana, not the amount he lets off. He decreases the amount of mana he has and uses the Concealing Kai to hide his mana presence, otherwise he looks like multiple demon kings. Each of the rings has enough mana that when one of the rings break they explode.

what i love about that scene is first since makoto stated that he doesnt use his kai that the others could see his aura probably for the first time on top of that his entier equipment is there to eat his mana away. Second veryone knows that and he is still so powerfull that everyone else is scared as hell.

Bis abilities are becoming stupid as time goes by. It feels like i am watching a different anime in second season. First season was so good with all those fight, proper Bonding with demi humans, makoto hadto suffer cuz of godess, and then in the last the fight against dragon and dragon slayer. But now season 2 is like a laid down new merchant who is also a teacher teaching his students and talking for episodes and episodes without any proper end. Dude its like he forgot how powerful he is and he is being a pushover and treated like it By both Humans and Demons.
