@@zetaking2909 Considering his bow is literal magic, and immaterial, there's not really a need to draw it manually. if he can make a bow of fire just by imagining it, I'm pretty sure he can just imagine the familiar feelings of drawing a bow to actually make it happen.

@@Gration_ Well maybe he can but it would be completely outside of his element, he is using a Magic in the form of a bow because Archery is what he is good at, because it's what he trained for years to the point of perfection, having to suddenly switch things up would probably at least hinder him somewhat. Especially considering that this situation of being in an actual battle instead of just training is already an unfamiliar situation.

@@D1i1s1 He's already trained to at least have a chance in a regular fight, so he's not even out of his element actually. To boot, he INSTANTLY created a bow just cause. No one told him he could, and the only thing that even alludes to him being able to shape magic is when elma said "imagine a ball of fire flying towards your target. Acting like him suddenly having to imagine his bow firing in his mind is "out of his element" is weird. He could only be doing the motions to aim, or just out of habit.

I think its important to highlight that the sword-break he did here was a product of prior training. His archery teacher had a martial arts friend who would train him too and taught him how to retaliate as a form of defense when you can't dodge. His body reacted accordingly here. You can even see his eyes closed because he flinched when it happened and flashed back because his muscle memory reacted without him. Its established but that's when it really drove home to me that his parents (and some of their friends) have been preparing him for this in every way they could without looking too suspicious.

Actually, it was the people who he was fighting he removed his limiter. He was limited by his connection to the goddess, which they temporarily removed.

@@zyanidwarfare5634 Sofia has a tool that removes the blessings and influence of the goddess... On the light novel is explain that the goddess can grants a blessing to her favored side (before a battles) that gives them twice their normal ability and at the same time said blessing debuffs the opposing side halffing their normal strength. However Makoto does not have any blessing from the Goddess at all, this two just manage to make him upset because they refuse to listen to him when he was explaining he has nothing to do with the goddess. And He did removed all his rings.

Hell yeah

What really gets me is their perspective in this fight. They thought they rid him of any power he could have, and would be easy pickings. Then, when they hear the snap of metal as he slides the ring off after breaking the connecting chain, it hits them like a truck. The guy who is meant to be powerless, is now suddenly radiating mana equal to a God (as I think this is after his whole "detach consciousness" training thing outed his reserves as being multiple Goddesses worth). And then, he keeps popping rings off, and his mana just keeps climbing more and more. It's like a modern day soldier nailing a guy with a bullet to his shoulder; then suddenly Cthulhu springs out his body to slap the soldier out of reality.

Makoto kept trying to tell them that he didn't want to fight and wanted nothing to do with the Goddess but they refused to listen. They soon realized that they messed with the wrong person however when he started to remove his rings that suppressed his mana, something that a person wouldn't normally do on a battlefield which was eventually followed by him launching an attack so big that it created a lake.

@@senseiSinclair Chances are that it would have increased the explosion size multiple times over if he took it off as well. Instead of a lake being made, you're probably looking at either the mountain range or a country possibly being wiped out.

It's an Uchine (historical Japanese weapon), not an arrow. Though given that an Uchine is basically an oversized arrow with a string for retrieval and versatile enough to be used in melee or as a throwing weapon, you're not quite wrong. 🧐

Was waiting the entire season for him to remove his limiter rings. Definitely did not disappoint.

This was cut from the anime, but his training is not quite basic. When it comes to close combat he was trained minimum in order to survive an actual fight. When it comes to the bow he actually has quite strong training, in Japan his teacher even made him techniques and combat style that were originally used for battles. The fight with Sophia was supposed to also show flashbacks from his childhood when he started training with the bow and also a bit of close combat. Its very unfortunate that this was cut from the anime.

0:10 through 0:19 is the best voice acting I've heard in a while. That *"TAKE THIS!!!"* line was amazing. The VA really translated his emotions into that part. You could feel Makotos anger through the screen.

Animators took a shortcut or just forgot in the heat of the moment.

Honestly, this is an example of what magic is meant to be at its peak. Spells are just mnemonic keys used to make mana flow in preset ways. I know some stories where practicing magic itself is compared to a coding language. When one truly masters magic, spells are nothing more than crutches. A true master of magic is able to mold mana like clay, with nothing more than their will and intentions. And sure, his power helps, but just pumping power into a brid wouldn’t let someone split the spell like that, or change its attributes on the fly.

The funny thing is they fought him spelless he didn't learn any advanced spells yet lol

I believe it's explained in the LN better, but at this point he knows a lot of magic, he uses Brid because it's extremely versatile, and more powerful spells would actually be less efficient because of just how much power he can put into a Brid.

After rewatching 10 times I just noticed that when Makoto destroys her sword, the mage reacts because it´s made from a part of his mana or soul.

This was the most epic season finale I've seen in a while in anime.

He broke one of his rings to do that... and still wearing 7 more, plus the outfit.... Makoto's limits are terrifying, and they should have got themselves a whole lot of gone after that display!

Plus they don't understand him/ his traduction powers given by the goddess doesn't work on human because of a curse she gave him,it only when they use the anti goddess ring that he could talk with them

@@MrMan-np9jg That's not it, she's talking about either her sword or some other piece of equipment. I can't remember but it was in the novel. Others perceive him as a monster-ish race, that's it.

When you two get sent to whatever afterlife this world has just remember, you started it.

Those 2 fingers were the only damage The strongest human adventurer in the world and a superior dragon ( same ranking as Tomoe ) were able to do to Makoto, they otherwise got curb-stomped by a Makoto with hardly any real training since coming to this world who doesn't know that he currently is arguably the strongest being in the world outside the bug (goddess). Just you wait until he becomes aware of how OP he really is, then this world is screwed. I mean the guy beat them with TWO arrow shots and accidentally created a lake as well.

Actually there is a heirarchy among superior dragons: Root ≥ Futsu >> Tomoe > Grount >> Azuma, Roman, Lyca (i don't remember the order of these three > Lancer. Meanwhile, Makoto >> Root

The animation for this episode was off the charts!

I love the idea of him just fighting people his enemy sees his power hand thinks they have a chance, only for him to start taking off one ring after another either immediately after the previous ring to show them, that he is completely out of their league or slowly taking one after another throughout the fight to show them he still has power in reserve.

​@@luna4560remember earlier on in the series w/o the rings he appeared to be inhuman, as well as his looks making him look like a demihuman, well, Sofia thinks Makoto is not hyuman and is maybe a beastkin or chimera of some sort

I thought this show was going to take the relaxing route, but things got real, really fast.

The crazy thing is the second season is finally out

Love this, can't wait for the next season!

I honestly never get tired of watching this scene. We’ve all had moments in life where others just will not listen.

This is just a level 300 going back to that one stage everyone deemed hard when it first came out

No it's because the scrolls can't read his immense amount of Mana so he only appears as one

@@clarbr1996a No, he’s actually level 1. Levels are independent from mana. Especially considering he’s constantly resetting his level unconsciously from his suicide meditation archery.

THIS ANIME IS SO GOOD!!

I absolutely love how he can switch from optimistic to coldly ruthless, yet never loses sight of his actual objective in a fight.

I honestly forgot this anime existed until this showed up in my recommended.

That 'oh ****' moment when you suddenly realise the guy you are fighting is basically a demi-god....

Its sad that the anime left out the other 2 heros pov it was nice to see just how much stronger he us that those 2

I can understand why they're leaving them out for the moment. They're not exactly important to the plot currently. Hibiki will be somewhat important soon, and we'll definitely get flashbacks with her part in the war. We'll for sure get Tomoki in the beginning of season 2 but he'll vanish until season 3-4.

@@emperorpalpatine2957 actually they are, at this point in the novel (chapter 70 or so) they already show their relationship with their current kingdom and their believes from one another, also they show how Hibiki gets involve in the world of politics and how the other hero (Tomoki I think) starts developing psychopath tendencies and created a harem They also show how everything kingdom is connected through an underground’s crime syndicate and what the kingdom think of one another

This fight made me watch this series. Just how he makes the bow appear is amazing

Can’t wait for Makoto Misumi to take his revenage.

Im really excited for S2. This show is a good one.

Literal goosebumps when he first attacked with the strengthening Kai.

Will never get over this scene, its so insane abnormal for someone to go so berserk but stay so calm

For anyone who doesn't know the context, the mc is isekai-ed to a magical world and due to our worlds lack of magic, his natural/magical abilities are greatly enhanced in this world where magic is common. (a sort of altitude training effect)

Nana not really makoto is just insanely talented and i mean insanely he almost died as a child because earth was simply not capable of sustaining his body do the effects are about 50x as bad for makoto thats why the other 2 heros are super weak

More like he was born from parents of the Isekai world (lets call it Goddess World) who fled from the Goddess World to Earth. Unlike his parents whose magic was strong enough to sustain their bodies, as a child his wasn't matured enough to survive in the more hostile magic-less environment in our world, forcing all of his natural magic into dormancy as it put all of it's effort into sustaining his weak, ailing body. Between his parents efforts, what pitiful magic they could muster in a world without it and modern technology combined with just being plain lucky as hell he survived long enough and as he aged his Goddess World body managed to adapt to the strain of our world without being able to use the same magic his parents had since his natural powers were cut off. The result was a physical aptitude that matches Earth citizens while massively multiplying his container for magic that comes from his Goddess World body due to how hard his body had to fight to survive from childhood. That's why he's so immensely powerful compared to the other two Isekai Heroes who are just plain Earth inhabitants, he's literally built different. They have the advantage of coming from the hostile world to a free world, making them dozens of times stronger than a Goddess World inhabitant due to having a naturally more powerful body, but not much else without the *blessing* helping them. He though has all the natural magical aptitude from the Goddess World multiplied by the same amount, a magical container that has been forcibly expanded to match, the same kind of physical aptitude that the Earth Heroes have, the natural capacity to increase his physical abilities by magic born from how his body fought to survive and finally the unique magic that Tsukuyomi gave him to make up for the Goddess screwing him over. Like I said; built different.

To add, even among mortals Makoto is a strange variable. They'll never get into it in the anime but Makoto is comparable to individuals like Alexandre the great. First, he casted his original Talent side to get a new talent. We don't know what is old talent was, but his new talent is his enhanced concentration that allows him to manifest his consciousness in another location. In the Goddess' world it was able to shine since every time he used it he basically died and was reborn. That basically kept multiplying his capacity. He's literally stronger in magic than most gods now. But he won't win against them, specifically the goddess, because he lacks experience. But another issue with Makoto is that he's capable of creation magic (Which I think is probably his original Talent), this is something that even some gods are jealous of. There was only 1 god that was capable of creation magic. So basically this tells us that Makoto is a literal god candidate. So at the moment as he is right now in the anime. He can probably 1 shot the goddess if he hits her.

​@@emperorpalpatine2957 and what makes him scarier is that he trained the heck out of his archery and in doing that, he created the most broken shooting skill on that world. I feel this is what makes him dangerous. He's a level 1 blank slate, and I mean this as in because he's level 1, he didn't get skills like other adventurers on the Guild, but he's able to create his own

Funny part is that demons are nicer then hyumans the anime just doesnt show them to anime only watcher demons are just doing it because they are evil demons

Not gonna lie, this anime is hella underrated already

Crunchyroll is the cocktease of get you into anime clips

this is one of those power fantasy animes exectued really well with creativity and characters

its funny how they get utterly destroyed but still want to fight him if they ever see him again

Moon Bro gave him one deadly blessing without realizing. Even in the side stories in the WN, when Susanoo asked him what exactly he gave Makoto between power and an ability, he responded that he gave him power and if Makoto took enough till his soul was almost full, it means his souls capacity for power was massive

About time Makoto stopped holding back, they were mocking him from the start and unwilling to listen.

One of top 10 best anime in my list!! Amazing I hope they can make a second season soon 🙏

Those are his actual looks, its just difficult to make him look as ugly as they describe without making him actually non-human. The closest person to his looks was a Demi-human so yeah.

They wanted the smoke, they got the smoke, they couldn't handle the smoke.
