Makita's Trimmer Attachments|| Plunge base with the track guide||

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I had a special project coming up that I needed just the tool for... so i got myself the Makita trimmer plunge attachment and with it, the track guide so I can make Super!! straight cuts Anywhere. I took the old Laundry door and spiced things up with putting some V-line design in it. If you like the video make sure to check out my Instagram /Facebook page for more info!

A tip: if you ever want to use 2 spanners , use them with ONE hand Just position the 2 spanners, so you can squeeze them open (or close) with one hand. That can save a lot of injuries and evt. damage. Oh and never put a router bit ALL the way inside the Machine , slide it in till the end and then ever so slightly pull it back a mill or 2 and then lock it tight with the red stop button and one spanner.

use both spanners in a position so you can squeeze them together with one hand to loosen the collet, also, you dont have to undo the rear two clips on the mbox

Hi! What size of V groove bit did you use? I want to do the same with my inside doors

I wish they make the adapter to fit the regular base as the dust collection is poor on their plunge base. I ended up making my own, but I shouldn't have to with the price they charge for the adapter, let alone the cost of the plunge base.

Thanks for the video. Thinking of buying that makita track guide. May I ask if it has some sort of knobs to setting the clearance the guide and the track? Cheers

@@misterm7086 I am beginner at using the router, but even I figured that it is the easiest to keep the handle of the two wrenches close to each other so that both can be squeezed with one hand while holding the router safely in the other.

Why didn't you clamp the tracks to the door? I would have been afraid that they incidentely get out of place.

On the bottoms of the tracks they have this black rubber material that sticks down pretty well
