I have never seen such valuable content on KZread. This kind of information can't be found anywhere I have looked. I am not a Facebook person so I miss a lot so I appreciate all that you share through KZread. You and your family and support staff have become more and more valuable to wig wearers. I can't tell how much I appreciate this.

Great video! Sharing an idea I tried: Take selfies in the same spot, same clothes, makeup, lighting in each of your wigs. My phone has the option to turn them all into a GIF and watch how your features change as the wig changes. It's the greatest thing to see for yourself.

This is one of the most relevant videos I've seen for the wig wearer. Took me back to art school where we learned about visual weight in compositions. In fact, you are teaching us some of the elements of art: space, line, shape, form....can't wait for color, value, and texture. More please. Thanks for tossing out the old and exploring new content. You have a great team. Well done!

This is an absolutely fantastic video, Frannie! You explained it so well. Thanks! The one thing I've done that helped immensely is to compare myself wearing a particular wig with other reviewers wearing that same wig. If I manipulate the photo so our heads are the exact same size, I can tell where the length of the wig will be on me. Luckily I found my wig muse and always watch for her reviews.

Amazing! This information about face structure and de-emphasizing and/or emphasizing (wearing wigs) is so interesting. Brilliant info for an old woman (like me) choosing a wig. I know color also would play a big role, depending on skin tone, with regard to which color wig to order. Well I’ve finally ordered a wig and, hopefully, I’ll try to work with my features….and the cap won’t feel itchy..or the wig fibers. Finally found a petite size and think I ordered correct color. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏼 Thanks for this, Frannie. And many thanks to your staff members. I found this to be so interesting. Hugs to you and your staff for participating in this video. Thank you so much. It takes time to figure out what you like and how to wear them. Are you using a wig grip, adhesive,...?
@NikkiOBoyle
Ай бұрын
@@FranniesHair I haven’t tried adhesive yet. I do have your favorite wig grip but it seems to slip on my bio hair (what little there is). I have a consult with V next week, so I’m hoping to clear up some things. Thank you again.
@FranniesHair
Ай бұрын
@@NikkiOBoyle I would try putting a little bit of adhesive at the nape to see if that helps stop the riding up. I used to use 'It Stays' on my front hairline and the nape...and that wig did not budge. In fact, I did a video where I show myself flipping my head up and down after putting it on. Here it is: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZJmVqqWxXcjIg6g.html

What a great video! I am a new wig wearer and still feeling my way, so these concepts are very helpful. Your entire FB community is so much ‘more’ than the other groups I am part of, so thank you! In addition to what you taught us today, I have always been told that everyone has one side of their face that is more feminine and the other, more masculine. I try to accent the more masculine side when wanting a more dramatic style, and the feminine when wearing a softer look, using parts and hair pulled forward. I would love to hear your thoughts on this concept. Looking forward to future videos.
@FranniesHair
Ай бұрын
Wow, that's so interesting...I hadn't heard that before. How do you know which side is which? Is it just based on looking at it and deciding? And I'm so glad you are enjoying the group! We have a really great group of ladies...it really is like a family.❤️
@ymethier
Ай бұрын
@@FranniesHair I find the easiest way to tell is by holding a piece of paper vertically down the middle of your face so that the sides are separated visually. Then look at one side and then the other. One is obviously more ‘soft and feminine’ and the other more masculine. I, like V, have a droopy eye ( and my lip shapes are definitely different from one side to the other)and it is on my feminine side. I looked at the 2 sides of V’s face in your video and her ‘droopy’ eye also is on the more feminine side.
@FranniesHair
Ай бұрын
@@ymethier Wow! That is fascinating! I'm doing that tomorrow...thank you!
Frannie, this was one of the most useful wig videos I've seen and I've watched A LOT of them! It was clear and well thought out! I think one thing I notice when I watch videos with you and Melissa is the shape of the back of your head. I think you look great in wigs with stacked back because of the shape of the back of your head seems to stick out more than say someone with a flatter head in the back that Melissa seems to have. Its like it follows the curve of your head so stacked looks good. I have Jon Renau's Ignite and was hoping it looked like it does on some other people but because my head is more flatter in the back, it doesn't give me that same stacked look in the back with the wispy hairs at the nape. I finally received the backordered Belle Tress wig Newport in Oyster grey! At first I liked the style but was on the fence with the color and thought about exchanging for a different color but since I am going to let my natural hair grow out to a short pixie and use wigs if I want to do something longer, I decided I'm going to keep the Oyster Grey. I was thinking a rooted color would look better but if your hair is grey, it most likely has a grey root! It will look more natural. I love watching your videos and how you involve your family in your business! It feels like family when we are invited in to your home so thank you! I'll have to apply some of these tricks as I build my wig collection. Initially wigs are hard but this kind of info truly helps and makes it fun! My doctor didn't recognize me last week when I showed up in my natural hair! I always say I'm in the witness protection program!
@FranniesHair
Ай бұрын
Great point! I was focused more on the front of the head...I will have to add this to my analysis. I love the 'witness protection program' comment🤣. I'm so glad you enjoy the videos and the family!😘
Thank you Frannie, I learn more and more from your videos! I must compliment your jewelry and make up as well. Very nice! I believe I seen or heard something about make tutorials by yourself as well, especially for wig wearing? Did I catch that correctly? I can’t remember. V is very helpful too! She advised mello, and I do love it very much. I just still struggling with the heat in California... so I am still looking out for very low density wigs with a slight loose curl. I will keep my eyes open for possible videos coming up for those. Congrats again for your beautiful channel. 😊

Thank you, Yolanda! I did do a video showing how I put on my makeup, because I was getting a lot of questions about it. Have you looked at Belle Tress? They have many low density styles. Thank you so much for watching!💕

Hi Donna, I will definitely do that! Great idea!💕
Frannie, This is helpful and I appreciate it! I have been struggling finding the right style for me. When I recently ordered two wigs Noriko Taylor in Platinum Pearl and Raquel Welch On Point in Biscuit I was disappointed. The color biscuit has so much more of a darker color in it and does not look like any biscuit color I have seen. The color platinum pearl as well is not as blonde as I am looking for. My first wig was Gabor Own The Room in Iced Sweet Cream and I enjoyed it until the friction started then it was just too thick and too much hair for me. It was almost like it expanded the fibers seemed to do that after some time. My second one was Raquel Welch Current Events in Iced Sweet Cream and it was a face flopper I always wore it back with a clip. I liked it though of course until the frizzing started. Next I went shorter with High Society by Gabor in sunkissed beige I believe was the color. It was very blonde and I wore it all winter that one was truly a workhorse for me. Now I'm trying to find something a little longer but maybe shorter in the back in a very very blonde color with no root. (One thing I admit to not fully understanding is caring for a heat friendly. I need to learn this... Which tools should I use and how often does it need heat etc. Where is the best place to store them and what should I store them in etc. And how to style a wig for me I guess I'm worried I will ruin a new wig if I do try and style it.) I've spent hours on yt and haven't found those answers with HF, hd Tru2Life wig care. There is a lot to learn and I am grateful for this video it will help me when trying to choose my next style. I did like the Lia wig you had on at the beginning it was very nice. I may look for it in an unrooted blonde if that is available. Thank you so much Frannie! You make awesome content and show us hundred of wig colors and styles! 🙂 Sincerely, Kaci
@FranniesHair

Thank you for this video. So much great info that will help me. BUT I have a question? You talked about neck length…. How do you measure neck length?.
@FranniesHair

Keeping your head in a neutral position, measure from the bottom of your chin to your collar bone. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!💕

Such great info!
Thank you. I bought spice girl by bell tress and not crazy about the color.I like the bob but, it does not want to fit right. It wants to ride up. It seems the fit is not right. I have a small head. The wig crip kept sliding off too . I was so frustrated. I tried to have a ponytail at the bottom to hold it and did some bobby pins on top. Does this run small?

@@donnarichey144 I'm sorry...I must have responded to someone else in the wrong spot. Spice Girl does not run small. Did you try to adjust the adjusters? Which wig grip are you using?
@donnarichey144
Ай бұрын
@@FranniesHair I have the hair grip and the new one too. The adjusters I am not sure about they seem different than other wigs. I like the wig the color not so much. I will check later, to see about the grips , the ear tabs were not where they should be either.

@@donnarichey144 Do you think you would benefit from a video session with my stylist?...she can see how the wig is fitting and maybe help you. It's a free service.

Hi, Patricia!😘
Great video 💛 Any ideas for a weak chin?

When you say weak, do you mean small? Not angular?
@have_faith_

@@FranniesHair yes, it is small for my face. In my profile, my chin goes in - was underdeveloped?
@FranniesHair
Ай бұрын
@@have_faith_ I would say wearing a style at least a little longer than your chin will help to draw the eye down...creating a longer look for the bottom of your face...and maybe even creating some shadow under your chin. Also, a style with some swing and movement at the bottom...not adhering to your face. Have you tried wigs like this?

@@FranniesHair thank you for your response 😊 I think you might be right about that. The wigs I’ve been liking on me lately have had layering starting about eye level with waves at the bottom. My favorite now is Mellow by Estetica ❤️ does that sound about right? This was very interesting 😀
Marlene - What is the name of the wig and color on the right at 22:23, please?

Hi, thank you so much for stopping by. At the 22:23 mark, the wig on the right is Selfie Mode by Raquel Welch in SS Cappuccino. xoxo Marlene
How do you measure neck length ? I don’t recall seeing explanation anywhere on that 🤷♀️

Hi Jane, hold your head neutral and measure from the top of the neck to your collar bone.💕

@@FranniesHair I’m sorry - at the throat to collar bone or below ear to collar bone there? I’m still confused 🤦♀️
How & where do you measure your neck?

Please check out Andrea Ali, a professional make-up artist in Paris. She can show you how to contour your face. I would like you to explore wig colors for our specific coloring. For instance, I could never pull off a blonde wig because of my darker East Euro skin tone.

Hi Franny, I just had a discussion about this with Marlene. She was wearing a wig that did not look like the photo on your website. Meaning the cut and style. was different. Common sense tells us that a wig is not going to look like the models. It was the cut or the style I was talking about. I didn't clarify myself.😢

Yes, that happens often. Stock photos are often styled. And many reviewers style their wigs as well.💕
Loved this as a NEWBIE! Thanks. It really was good. SPEAKING of "EYES"... could you share the brand & colors of YOUR EYE MAKEUP? I think it could look good on me & I am ready for a CHANGE.. soft & pretty. I live on a mountain in NC and don't have much opportunity to "shop" for makeup. If you're willing to share, it would really be a blessing! Thanks, again! UPDATE!!!! I found the VIDEO you already did for me.. I mean, for all of us!!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/eH9hsMifZpnMkc4.html

Thank you Frannie! Great information! I have a widows peak that I’ve always tried to hide. I’m going to try to accentuate it to see if it helps with making my wigs look more natural!🤗🩷
