Making Wooden Cavatelli Boards (for pasta and gnocchi)
I've been watching a lot of pasta grannies lately / pastagrannies and decided to make a cavatelli board for making pasta.
While I was set up to make one I figured it'd be easy to make a few others for friends and to sell.

I was talking about the woodwork, but dinner looks great as well!
When I tried this the shapes came out beautifully but the pasta was waaay too thick. Does it need a long cooking time? Or do you think the pieces were too big?

Fantastic job David. Do you mind sharing what bit you used and what are the proper size for the groves, like depth and width?

Hello! I just used a cheap little v bit I hash lying around, there isn’t really a hard and fast rule on the width of the grooves, I just experimented with the depth and width on a piece of scrap until I got something I was happy with!
Love it! Can I just buy one from you? The Hubs isn’t excited to do this for me. 😂

What size router bit did you use for the face of the board? A bead bit? Nice work !! Enjoyed the canoe build. Was hoping to find more details on the decorative strip. Well done on the canoe!!

There are community workshops in New Zealand, so you can have access to any tool you want. You just pay membership or once off for drop-ins

You could also take a file, a handsaw and a few more hours and get the same product
