Making Traveler's Notebook Inserts

I'm making Traveler's Notebook inserts from start to finish (including decorating the covers) and showing you how I do it featuring two game changing tools I use to get the job done.
Most decorative collage bits are Tim Holtz, but some are from pen pals and various other collected bits.
The monkey's fist bookmarks as well as the semi-precious bead charm I clipped to a paperclip can be found here:

Your cutting tool brought back so many childhood memories. My father owned a Print Shop and before he bought an electric one, he had a huge version of the paper cutter. The tightens wheel was on top and so fun to spin but it was the bar to cut with that brought me joy. He would be cutting stacks so large. He would lift up to the handle and I would just giggle as I was unable to pull it down.

Fun to watch you put this together. Would you consider showing a sewn binding tutorial? How do you stay motivated? Thank you for your inspiration.

diantian7 If I can ever manage to hone my bookbinding skills, then you betcha!! Motivation can certainly be a struggle. I do much better when I stay involved on KZread and Instagram. Seeing all of the awesome things that people create pushes me even harder to create my owns things. I hope that now that I’m putting myself out there this way, that maybe I’ll motivate others as well.

@@kellyandersonstudio I was already searching for one, since I want to make inlets with watercolour paper. Thanks to you I got the right designation to find what I was looking for...for a reasonable price (around 100€ not 400-500€ what I found before) and all that although I from germany. So thanks again, you really helped me out. :)

I have the exact same paper cutter, but when I cut the top and bottom of my inserts the cover always has a jagged tear at the binded edge of the inserts. Does anyone else have that problem too?

I know it's been a while since you posted this but... I have the same cutter too and I never cut the height of my inserts as a folded unit. I cut the height pre-fold. Then fold, layer and hand sew a 5 hole pamphlet stitch. Then I cut cut the width.. I've never even attempted to cut the height as a folded unit.
