I love the Tiburon. My 2006 is my baby.

I put a aluminum cold air intake with no air filter and metal mesh to trap debris at the opening of the intake and it sounds BEAST. Below 3k rpm, sounds normal, but after you punch it, you can hear it pretty DAMN LOUD. Its pretty much an open air cold air intake but it makes a huge difference. And its plugged in right behind the bumper so its almost guaranteed there will be ne debris coming in.

I bought one of these with 130,000-ish miles on the ticker, its now at 198,726 miles and counting! She was my daily driver, including daily driving through Michigan winters....with tons of fluid film of course,( after all, this car was used in some FWD class rally races!) Thankfully I have the SEV6 which came as a manual only option, so rocking myself out of deep snow was extremely helpful. The ti by tracked through the snow great....until the snow reaches the 7 inche range....then all bets are off and the front of the tibby turns I to a snow plow lmao!! It's not my daily driver anymore, but I still own it and take it out on the weekends in the summer.

You keep saying cannons you mean mufflers, right? Looks like you are from the U.K. judging from the right side driver tiburon. The resonator delete might work for you but you are still running stock factory exhaust pipes and headers. I'm from the U.S. and I did a resonator delete on my 2003 tiburon and it sounded raspy as hell maybe because It doesn't work out with the DC Sports 2.5" cat back exhaust and DC sports headers so I had to put a resonator back on there I used a high flow Moroso resonator in place of the stock one purchased from Summit Racing and it sounds a hell lot better than that raspy crap. You could now hear a deeper solid tone exhaust tone.

First thing I did was delete the front cat and resonator. Even with stock mufflers the car sounds mean decently loud when you rev it. Super quiet at idle though.

yo man are the rear fog light covers completely blacked out with no light passing or is light able to pass? I'm looking ot get myself a pair of those but can't seem to find em' anywhere.

Hey mate they are factory rear reflectors not fog light covers, we used black night shade :)

It’s a spray called nite shade, you spray it over the reflectors to black them out !

people will laugh at this wide diameter exhausts and call them raspy and ricey looking but all i do know is that, the wider the inlet and outlet, the better throttle response and top end performance..i've had 2 slow ass dog Sh&t vehicles with one being a mazda 6 2.5, and another being a ford Taurus 3.0...i went with DC straight thru, 3 inch inlet to 4 inch outlet mufflers, and needless to say, both vehicles were able to spin tires amongst takeoff while before, i was never even able to get a chirp..even when i was running flowmaster and borla setups, the vehicles were no more responsive than they were stock even thought i had CAI, Aftermarket Pulleys, Cat deletes, and etc etc ..pretty much, the whole thing about needing back-pressure is utter nonsense...i practically saw more performance gains with the least back-pressure, and increased inlet/outlet diameter..regular diameter 2.5 inch mufflers are essentially a waste performance wise although ole heads, and know it all car guys say they're needed for better performance..people used to wonder how i got my 6 to spin tires and respond so quickly, and to be honest, i'll never tell them that my easy secret ingredient was merely a 3in/4out straight thru muffler....what may look ricey or uncivilised may alot times be the best in terms of performance needless to say

Sounds awesome. Shame Thea cars are so underpowered. In the uk we mostly have 2.0l straight 4s. The V6 are rarer to see. But we have a good enthusiast community. I put a a K&N CAI and it sounds 👌 for a 2.0L. Getting custom exhaust next.

I got a tibby and have it straight piped because of a leak and need to get it inspected but I want a custom catback for it so bad I'm not a fan of straight pipe but want it to be less restrictive I love these cars mine is my baby I love it
