Loved what you did but I wish Queek had a better death than what you gave him. I think after killing Belegar and solidifying his position as the true warlord of Karak Eight Peaks, Queek's madness and power surge to new heights. Placing Belegars head at the forefront of his trophy rack, a new voice emerges into his mind and goading him to further conquests of the Dwarven empire. The new voice is Belegar and he uses Queeks madness and ego to lure him and his verminous horde into a trap from which the Headtaker could not win. I'm sure you could fill in the details but I believe this little subplot adds alot of depth to Queeks story using his madness and ego against him without changing the overall ending. I always thought that his death was cheesed harder than anything the skavens cheese ever did. I mean he was the greatest Skaven warlord to ever live but he gets his neck snapped like a little bitch....

I can't wait for the Ogre Kingdoms video. A lot of factions weren't done justice, but I feel the good old fatties really had the short end of the stick. Grimgor simply waltzed in and killed the Overtyrant Greasus Goldtooth, an Ogre who has killed dragons and single handedly united the entirety of the Ogre Kingdoms under his banner. It's just the half-assed writing that GW seems to be so fond of these days. Anyways, great video, I've been loving the series so far.

Greasus just becomes a footnote in the story of Grimgor who somehow became an avatar of Gorkamorka and the Maw? like how did he get Maw Powers? how I would do it like in Cannon the Ogres are forced to migrate their entire civilisation due to a super volcano but unlike cannon he leads them to take the land from the Chaos Dwarves around the same time as Grimgors Waaaagh creating a legendary three way conflict as Hashut, the Maw and Gorkamorka all fight for supremacy though their faction leaders.

Not for nothing, but I've been a skaven player since 6th edition, and hasn't it always been a concession of Skaven that if they actually could cooperate as a race they would roflstomp the rest of the world? In that regard the original End Times, while ridiculous, is accurate to how a united Skaven race was always foreshadowed.

Yeah but still makes no sense for it to be as easy at it happened, Dwarves and Humanity aren't that technologically behind and unlike the Skaven are FAR more efficient with their technology and their armies. Combo that high efficiency with the elves and their broken magic, a god powered Nagash with endless undead and the ultimate WAGH of the Orks, and the Skaven would have been destroyed even with Chaos aid. The Skaven need another buff, and I feel like backstabbing the Great Horned Rat like true Skaven surpassing their creator in exchange for taking power from ALL of the other Chaos Gods basically becoming the embodiment of true Chaos, would've been trully badass conclusion to the best Chaos faction. Then just like in the end time a few Skaven figure out that Chaos is going to kill them all anyway, and decide to dip.

We’ve actually seen the Skaven united in two previous wars in lore and they were not invincible like The End Times made them out to be. They could not defeat Nagash, hence why they are so afraid of him. Plus once they join Chaos the Skaven are inconsequential cannon fodder. The Forces of Order almost defeat them both and Chaos only wins because of Mannfred’s betrayal. So the Skaven victories feel less like the logical result of them working together and more like them winning because the plot mandated it.

Majorkill said himself in the lore it was said after every major battle "they were killed in the millions" yet somehow they managed to amass another massive vermintide. i get that they have their own breeding facility like the hell pit, and IRL rats have crazy reproduction rate, but maybe just tone it down a little bit so they wouldn't be this basically invisible threat that's somehow even worse than chaos.

The Skaven are the only reason I cared about Warhammer Fantasy and I'm glad their End Times lore has finally been done justice

I don't really mind Skaven cheesing their way to victory every now and then, but I agree that them steamrolling over everyone is very unfulfilling. My beautiful ratties deserve only the best of endings.Those fight presentations were cool. I'm not sure why, but I really liked Valtens attack being represented by a spinning warhammer. The death of Tretch is very Majorkill, I love it. I would only change it to saying Tretch is trapped in one of the abominations several assholes, because of course those things have more than one (don't ask how, or why, I know that).

I have an idea for the skavens’s lore you might find interesting. You know how a major plot point is that the shaven cause morrslieb (the moon made of warp stone) to crash into the planet? Well, my idea surrounds that. Basically, the original idea was to break off tiny chunks of the moon one at a time with careful uses of doom rockets and these pieces get pulled down by ikit’s tractor beam to fuel their species wide addiction to the stuff, with further plans to drop these moon shards on specific targets to aid the vermintide. However, things go south when Ikit decides to experiment with the strength of the rockets and the tractor beam without informing the council of this. These experiments ( through techno-babble I haven’t thought of) end up shattering the moon and pull it into a collision course with the planet, with total destruction certain for the skaven. The council of thirteen are shocked by this discovery since they were never told and collectively crap themselves as the

I’m not done yet. The council panic and immediately order Ikit be executed. However, the ruler of clan skryre convinced them to hold off on killing him explaining how this was caused by HIS inventions and that they need the same tech to prevent their extinction. The council reluctantly acknowledges this and decide to bring him before them, where they tell him that he will fix the mess he made of suffer pain without end. He agrees and they start hatching a plan. They would first try to buy time by slowing the moon’s descent by modifying the tractor beam to push objects away instead of pulling while further beams would be constructed in key locations. This would never be enough to overcome the moon’s inertia, but it would be slowed and the skaven would have more time to find a solution, of which they thought of a few. The first is to go to lustria and secure some kind old one technology they could use to stop it, with another plan being to capture some powerful slann and hook them to the tractor beams. The second plan is too invade Cathay and try to kidnap the dragon emperor (who is essentially a god now) for the same purpose, maybe even seize any powerful artifacts they can find along the way. Both these plans fail miserably with multiple clans being crippled of wiped out entirely in lustria in the same way you described while the emperor’s children and his wife’s skill in manipulation repel the vermin until grimgor arrived and crushes them on route to the emperor himself. The underempire is in near total panic and the council is barely able to maintain cohesion. Lord Kroak only got the meteors heading for the old world, but the main husk of the moon was still coming and the tractor beams could never stop it while their war effort left the council almost bankrupt with few resources left and no solution in sight. It’s at this point that the horned rat decides to show himself once more, and he is just done with their $&@? He tells them to shut up and listen to his plan. Ever since the great vortex was unbound, the winds were now blowing completely unhindered and were flooding the world with magic. It may be possible to harness all of this raw power and commit to the powerful spell the world had ever seen, making anything possible. The horned rat believed that it might be possible to summon him into the world, where he could gorge on the raw magic and souls everywhere to empower himself enough to halt the moon out right. Once that was done, he could easily help his children wipe it out all further opposition, mortal and god alike, achieving total victory. But this all hinged on gathering the winds in one place and completing a complex and delicate ritual using the council as sacrifices (they lost all day in that matter and they know it). To this end, the horned rat made a deal with the dark powers the help them and keep their gaze off the skaven long enough to set up everything for a united back-stab for their species benefit. He even knew the perfect place to carry out this scheme, the portal under middenland. The portal would be the best method to summon him they could find on short notice and a massive amount of magic would be present to harvest in the form of the avatars of the winds, the hordes of demons defending, and the everchosen himself. They skaven would just have to set up the ideal kill zone and ensure that none can escape while their ritual goes uninterrupted, with their god ready to intercept any divine intervention. They start their preparations, installing all the equipment they would need while a massive force of the all their remaining elite units is assembled. Events continue in lore and fixed version until the final battle. As the heroes try to seal the portal and the demons close in, the skaven spring their trap and their armies close all escape routes. The entire council of thirteen head straight for the portal at the head of their most elite troops to finish the heroes, fighting past everything thrown at them and completely unbreakable knowing they would die either way. The ritual they perform is intended to hijack the portal and empower it enough to allow their god entry to the world, but the skaven had to protect highly fragile and combustible contraptions from all threats, stop the hero’s ritual, and ensure enough magic was caught to fuel the ritual. All while the horned rat faced all of the remaining gods by himself. The battle proceeds as normal, except with the heroes fighting the council and their champions until the final moments of the ritual that something unexpected happens. Mannfred turns to Balthasar and makes ready to stab him, but Tyrion noticed this and moves just fast enough to stop him, blocking the blade and knocking him down. Tyrion demands to know what he was thinking, but mannfred just gets up and attacks again. He gets knocked around until Tyrion is just about to finish him before mannfred suddenly falls on his knees and bows, begging for mercy. Tyrion just ignores this and is about to end him, but hesitated when mannfred looked up. His face was suddenly that of Tyrions daughter. In that moment the fake rushes past Tyrion and runs through Balthasar with his sword. It then turns to the confused and points to mannfred’s corpse before revealing it self the be the Changling and quickly disappearing again. With Balthasar’s death, the remaining casters where unable to shoulder the sheer power and the ritual seemed about to fail when Cairos fate-weaver teleports out of nowhere with 81 lords of change and hijacks the ritual, pushing Teclis and Nagash away and shouldering all of the power by himself while his entourage form a perimeter. Both heroes, demons, and skaven nearby stop and look at this in confusion, the battle field slowly quieting. Then, slowly, they all look around as they start to hear laughter building up around them, coming from the surrounding demons. The tzeentchite demons only. Balthasar was not the only caster present, for all of the remaining grey seers where brought in for the skaven ritual. They were all killed by the Changeling as well. Tzeentch just stole the skaven’s entire plan for himself was about to enter the world himself and achieve permanent dominance over his siblings. He knew exactly what they both sides had planned set his own trap. He messed with ilits experiments to set the moon off course so the skaven would summon their god in desperation. He impersonated liliath after killing her and set teclis on his path to gather the avatars in one spot. He told archaeon to personally protect the vortex. He even expended almost all of his power to teleport everyone there whom he needed there in secret. This was the culmination of all of his scheming and his ultimate deception. With victory firmly in his jaws, he ordered cairos to complete the ritual. And waited. And waited. Nothing. And for the first time in his entire existence, tzeentch became confused. Cairos should have already done it right? He heard him right? What was he doing? He looked at his right hand, and saw him just standing there laughing stupidly with his eyes wide. And he was wreathed in a massive column of warpfire. Tzeentch’s confusion quickly turned to rage as he screamed at cairos to do finish the ritual while everyone, gods and mortal, woke up and descended on them both. While tzeentch tried to hold of his siblings and cairos’s retinue held back the others, cairos just stood there, marveling at the new view of infinity this power gave him as it tore apart his mind. Then a voice spoke up next to him, coming from teclis, who passed the guardians without notice. “Excuse me, cairos?” He asked. Both heads turn to him. “I believe tzeentch is in trouble.” “He is?” Both heads ask. “Yes, I think he is. His brothers are hurting him.” “No!” The gasp in union. “You must help him”. “We must help him”. “He needs power”. “Yes, power!” “Quickly, give him all this power you how at once” “at once” At once” “AT ONCE!” He screamed as he hurled all the power of the world directly at the portal. At the gods of chaos. As soon as the magic left him, Cairos retained his clarity, and basked in horror at what he just did. Teclis was laughing. And a strange creature reminiscent of a clown stood beside, laughing with him. Tzeentch screamed in terror. The largest explosion since the Big Bang detonated. Even the old ones noticed. The realms of chaos, the immaterial world, the warp itself, trembled. For a single moment, the chaos gods were the most powerful beings in existence, then shattered completely into countless pieces. All of that power being unleashed all at once would have scoured the world of life itself if it had not been redirected. The souls of Caledor and Lord Kroak emerge from the warp and absorb a massive amount of this energy, enough to piece together and assemble all of the gods of order. With a combined effort, they take all of the magic bound for the world and channel it directly for one single point on the planet. The polar gates. The place where chaos first set foot on the world. They activated for the first time in GW knows how long. And all of the power was diverted directly in to the planet’s core. And then there was silence. And then the entire planet trembled. Cities collapsed, the under empire was buried, the world roots burned, all of ulthan was hurled from the sea and great fissures erupted everywhere. Entire continents were uprooted and launched in to the atmosphere. The world ended. And then the

The old ones show up and help the dragon emperor piece the world back together. The emperor is permanently crippled, but not in a 40k way, the oak of age gets turbocharged and holds the world together, a magic maelstrom separates the mortal realms from the gods for 1000 years, the old ones observe the world, the skaven and orcs flee and everyone celebrates. Great vid! The part with the Verminlord and Archaon was very fitting, and the Nuln story was just an amazing story. My only problem was Deathmaster Snikch dying, as he might(probably not) return, but overall was amazingly please with how much more content you gave the filthy rat-boys.

The infamous Gal here again today, skaven are the best. Queek shouldn't have died. Id marry Queek if he was real, that bitch is 10/10

To be fair, as a Skaven player that read The Black Plague and Thanquol & Boneripper, the Skaven get their ass handed to them in really frustrating ways over and over again in the lore. Like a main Skaven warlord in one of the books basically dies fighting the protagonist after another Skaven made him trip or something lol. Even Queek, who is a sociopath even by Skaven standards, backs down due to fear like any common clanrat in one pivotal battle. Skaven stories for the most part are just a compilation of them getting beat again and again, and when they do win at something it's either against random characters that only exist within the one book, or as with Nagash's case, one of their biggest victories barely had lasting consequences since he just came back in full power.

Great video as always. The only thing I would add is Tretch's role. Since he has nothing better to do, why not make him a part of the assault on Sartosa. Then having him brutally F'd in the A by everyones favorite salty bitch Aranessa, or being eaten alive by a Rotting Leviathan or the dragon.

During the end times I tink it would have been cool I've snikch went back to his masters in Nippon and betrayed the skaven.

18:02 I dunno, man. I agree with almost everything you said here. However, the guy DID unite the Deamons of Chaos and all the other factions of Chaos together: I doubt he'd be bad at politics. Think about it, Chaos politics are the roughest in all the multiverses! :O

I'm reading the Archaon: Everchosen books right now. The only actual "politics" in the Chaos Wastes involve threatening and/or maiming any tzeentchian sorcerer dumb enough to fuck around with you. Other than that, it's just kill anyone in your way and take their armies for yourself.

@@Aredel at least they are the faction that can corrupt someone to the dark side for existing near them for a while so it whould not be to bad it’s still not like as easy as the skaven just because they have the numbers schemes and the technology to overwhelm the world and what not

Also, this affects the End Times in general, but I'd change Archaon's character a little bit. Because I feel like he was thrown in as a "regular Dark Lord fantasy villain who wants to destroy the world" thing. *So…* *Archaon's ultimate goal is to allow the Chaos Gods to win and remake the world in their image, for he sees them as worthier lords for humanity and the Old World than these pretenders Ulric and Sigmar. For what truly just god would murder thousands of children to stop one meekly prophecy from taking place? (It's in the **_Archaon_** novel if you're curious btw.)* *Personality-wise, Archaon is quite honorable (at least as much as a Chaos Lord can be), but he’s no fool. If there is a way for him to circumvent events to his way, he’ll take it. He does take pleasure fighting the champions of Order or mighty warriors, and views Chaos’ victory as a rebirth for the Warhammer world. He should emphasize traits from all four Dark Gods, as he is their champion. That being said, Archaon does feel regret for having found himself on such a dark path, and would have been content to just keep being Diederick Kastner. That self-pity and self-destruction mentality would ironically echo Malal too - if he was still official.* *You might say Archaon in the end just gave up, and threw his destiny in the hands of fate. Either he’d fulfill his role and bring about Chaos’ final victory to spite Sigmar (who never deigned to help him), or he would die and finally be freed from a life he had never chosen (heh) in the first place. Either way, it’s a win-win situation for him.* *_And yes, the events of the Archaon novel are canon in my version. Be’lakor is his dad, and Archaon hates his guts because of it. Maybe he’d want to screw him over and prevent him from becoming a fifth Chaos God too. (Hint at the Gotrek and Felix novel, wink wink.)_* This makes way more sense than Archaon just wanting to destroy the world because he hates the Gods and himself. More importantly, this actually make him a compelling character, because you can (somewhat) understand his perspective. Something that is very important if you want to create a complex villain that isn’t some evil force of nature.

The Skaven saved the World from Nagash by giving Alcaladizzar The Fellblade.

I wish you had included Elspeth in the Nuln scene and given her a horrible gruesome death.

As a Skaven fan, I must agree. I don't want to see the Skaven win because the plot allowed them. They just kind of unify without much difficulty, and roll over the world. I want to see the Skaven actually have to use all their tricks and schemes.
