See How we Celebrate the New Season on our Cosy Narrowboat

Without a doubt, late spring is one of the best times to live on a narrowboat. This week, we're celebrating the season with some home cooked food using the first pickings from our on board herb garden. Plus, we're getting to grips with our outside space and giving everything a much needed spring spruce.

Oh that’s what I do, chop up veg with one for the pot, and one for me as I go along. I love raw veg. Oooooh Jack, another redhead here, watch it buddy 🫢🤣🤣a tub of cheap vaseline spread at the top of pots can help to stop the pesky snails climbing up.

Iff you use shingle on the beds and around them it will help with the snails and slugs as the sharp edges hurt their foot and they won't cross over it eggs shells around base of plants works as well

They glide over the shingle in my garden no trouble at all unfortunately. I've marked snails & removed them from areas of the garden & they've turned up back in the same place after crossing the shingle.

Hi Jack & Gabby just want to say I’ve been watching your videos from the start and love every one! Your content is so wholesome, beautiful and relaxing I love it! I know you use kofi but have you considered setting up a Patreon? I like using it as a way to support some of my favourite creators, for me personally (I know this might not be the case for everyone) but that’s more important to me than any extras ☺️

Sorry to say, copper tape is a waste of time and money, yes I have tried it. Good luck with the green house, water and feed the tomatoes and you should have a good crop. You can never have too many tomatoes, later in the season when they've stopped ripening, make green tomatoe chutney.

I love watching your videos. I have some advice although it may come too late. You should never be quiet for a sleeping baby. Inutero is very noisy and they are use to that. I think the quiet is what wakes them. I use to vacuum and use washer and and dryer and she slept through it all. Maybe give it a try.

I’ve just got up to date with your videos. It’s been a real joy to see how you’ve progressed from starting your work on Arti, having Jo, and developing your allotment. Be reassured that your problem with slugs and snails is not unique. This year has been exceptionally bad for them! I’m so impressed with the quality of your Vlogs, but often wonder how much more you could get done it you didn’t have all of the work preparing the shots and editing. I’m so glad that you do though 😊
