I love how you and the bears just go about your way helping each other out and having fun.

There is nothing more British than a winter's Sunday afternoon stroll down a tow path and being overwhelmed by the smell of diesel engines and coal fires. It's a smell I know from my childhood that has never changed. My comfort blanket. However environmentally ridiculous it may be.

Hey. There are hand and foot warmers called Hothands. They last for about 8 hours. I use them when winter camping. They'll be good for when you are cruising in cold weather

I move to Dallas Texas 3 years ago but I was born and raised in watford and it was so nice to see a snapshot of how it has changed and I remember all the amazing summer days in Cassie park that 30 walk isn’t fun at night when there is no light in the park

love this trip my area of the country, I lived in hemel hempsted in one of those flats about The Marlows...... and I worked in Berkhamsted, I used to ride my bike along the canals to work and sit by the canals for lunch... did you know that Roger Moore was born and Bred in Berkhamsted.....yep the one james Bond....

Quite a lot of soggy cruising in this one. I got shivery just watching you go through lock after lock in the drenching rain. I got a laugh, however, seeing one of your fenders lying up on the roof just in front of your hatch cover. It looked like a perfectly toasted marshmallow! 😄

Sorry Wes, Amy won the competition. But it was because she sang, “working at the boat wash.” You guys are waaaaaay too young to know that movie. It came out here, in America when I was 16. Now, do THAT math!!!!!

It's so funny. Your video today was about saying goodbye to the mud. I started remembering Wes carrying roofus in that night after he washed his paws in the shallow water. Love these videos, but I'm already looking forward to vlogmas 24.

We had trouble getting into the same lock two years ago. Took three goes. Let loads of water down but by the time we got off the mud we still could not get into the lock. Third time lucky ! Elliott & Sue had trouble with same one last year. So much for maintenance! It is the rugby ball shaped hole when the lower gates are shut which is caused by boats rubbing when using just the one gate.

Have only recently found your channel. Love your enthusiam, and optimism, especially with your DIY. No wonder your feet were cold wearing wellies - they are OK for an hour or so, but for longer, you either need thermal wellie socks, or better still, walking boots. Look forward to your next one.

Your feet must have been like blocks of win those rubber boots! They are absolutely the worst in cold weather. You need heated insoles or thermal liners if you are wearing them in winter!!!

As an ex-continuous cruiser on the Thames, now living off grid in Portugal, I'm curious: if you weren't living the boat lifestyle in the UK, where else would be an appealing alternative to you? We’ve been cruising on and off for over a year now! It’s mainly because we both wanted to do the southern network coincidentally at the same time 😊 we generally move together if it makes most sense logistically
