I mean no offense when I say this but I think your skill set would be utilized so well in video game sound design. The way you structure your chords and the types of sounds you gravitate towards have a really homely feel and maybe it's something on the horizon for you. There is also a place for this wherever you want it to be, I'm not pigeonholing or judging, but a lot of stuff you do reminds me of old school RPG games and such. Keep it up, y'all have a lot of talent and I know you're going places.

pop / rap normally plays around with the same melodic ideas and doesn't try funkier stuff, artists will prolly get thrown off by some of it but like u said it was be right at home in like game or movie scoring
