    Already has been done before. By Relic lures, very rare to find. It was made in four colors. They even made a whole set of Simpsons themed lures. I'm sure MB could make it even better.

    Kokanee Salmon. Same species as Sockeye, just freshwater only and a bit smaller of a sub-species (more practical lure than a Roman Made).

    If you are going to be using water based "sealer" you might want to wet the surface first then let it dry. Lightly sand before sealing it. That should minimize the grain of the wood swelling when the sealer hits it. Known as "raising the grain". Cool looking bait!

    I once set the hook on a fish with my heddon spook, ended up flying towards my face so I blocked it, hit my funny bone and got pretty severe nerve damage. Not very fun experience

    Hey man, I appreciate the disconnect between knowing the function of a tool and how it actually functions! I'm a machinist and I have a suggestion for your hand broaching tool. If you used a slitting saw blade to form your tool out of it would stay wickedly sharp and resharpen w a few strokes on a stone. And slitting saw blades come in all sorts of precision thicknesses. Food for thought
