My boyfriend does nails, and he suggested that you do thinner layers on your first few coats of epoxy. And after you put the pin iris in do thin little layers after that. He said they have the same issue with bubbles when doing gel nails and the solution is multiple thin layers. She turned out beautiful as always and her eyes turned out nice.

  • @Keymagination

I watched a lot of videos involving epoxy and for anybody who does not use pressure machine (I don't know professional name) to remove bubbles the thin layering is the only way. Also I don't know if speed curing may cause cracks and is better to leave the layers to dry at their own? But the doll was so ugly and I didn't give much hope for the end result... And then... I was literally melting off my chair. Every choice you have made was PERFECT. Eye color, hair (I don't generally like pink), kimono (of the fabrick is soooo perfect), obi or belt (oranges and strawberries killed me even more from cuteness). And I learned about a number of tails! Perfect!

I always have issues with UV resin too. Since it cures so quickly it does not have time to properly degas itself so you can get bubbles easily, and it shrinks while it's being cured (which is why it sometimes cracks). Now I use epoxy resin for making eyes, but that has the downside of taking forever to cure so it wouldn't work on a tight schedule

As for your resin problem and the air bubbles and cracks; 1st try filling the little hole where you pull the pin out of the bead first, when you pull the pin out instead of cutting it off, the hole fills with air. 2nd try doubling the amount of time you leave each layer of resin under the light. Hope that helps.

Great job on the eyes Maryna! As others have suggested thinner layers and heat will probably help in future too. I wish the kimono had been a bit longer, like at least below the knee, and the sleeves had been left open like a real kimono's are. Also I think her tail needed more white, longer pieces of yarn! Great concept though and I love her makeup and freckles!! Ever since you said you like figure skating I've been DYING for a Victor Nikiforov doll from Yuri on Ice! It's such a beautiful show, I know you would love it, and he is the most handsome and amazing character!! I'd also love to see a Trixie Mattel drag queen doll, she LOVES dolls and even has her own Integrity doll coming out this year! Plus such a distinctive look.

I love it when you switch up your style a bit from more realistic to more animated expressions because you are so good at both and I enjoy seeing what you can do. I am currently learning new techniques as I go too as I make my Sun doll from Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach. I get so frustrated when I get finished with one step and realize that I can do it better with a different technique. I find myself keep going back and forth between doll and outfit because of this. I'm actually making this doll from scratch instead of repainting a base but I need to make the joints perfect because I'm actually going to use this doll for a story I'm writing.

I love the attention and carefulness when making the kimono! I just had to double check if the folds were correct and on the right sides, and it was beautifully accurate! Some people don't know this, but if you fold the part that covers the body the reverse way you did, it would indicate that person passed away. Also another thing I feel people should know, which, of course you did correctly as well; If the bow was tied to the front, that would indicate that person is a (pr0st*tute). I'm very glad that, though those things seem minor, they can mean very different things than intended and I just feel very proud of you on how careful you were with these details! Beautiful job overall as well!

Kitsune are tricksters, always. Yeah they are good or evil but they cannot divert from the trickster in their blood. I love the colours you have gone with and I’m not sure if this matters to Kitsune but young foxes are born black. The kits have blue eyes that turn like their coats as well. My favorite animal, besides my love for all cows, are foxes. Edit: She is so cute! I love her face so much! I thought you were making her ears too small but I love them as well! Her outfit is so adorable.

After you get the hang of uv resin, it'd be cool to see liquid eyes. Like those resin shaker charms, but eyeballs. You could put chunky glitter in them. Maybe on a bigger doll?

Stunning as always! I loved watching the creative process with this doll. I think it’s really cool how you include segments of simple stuff like pinning the dress along with the main parts of the video like the face up. It makes it very relaxing to watch but also helpful for aspiring customizers!

I love the work on this doll and I do not see the cracks really. They don't show up on camera. as it is a work of art, tiny imperfections like this is what makes your work so special. You had so much trial and error with resin eyes and I think all that effort has paid off in this doll- her eyes are magical

  • @debbiefinlayson2294

When you put the resin in, dip your brush into the aceton or some 100% alcohol and then move the resin around. The aceton/alcohol will pop all the air bubbles before you set them. When I make resin objects I have a spray bottle that puts a fine mist across the mould and then across the resin that stops more bubbles forming. Also with UV resin smaller pours are recommended. Instead of 3 or 4 pours do 8 or 9. If there is a crack or bubbles its easier to hide or sand away.

Am I the only one who thinks these dolls would be great for Effie Trinket? There's so much real estate on her face for crazy makeup, their lips are great, and we know the colours would already look great!
