Making the Clothing Industry More Inclusive | Kayna Hobbs | TEDxCSU

How can a Paralympic athlete and a grad student influence change in a whole industry? The modern-day clothing industry can be non-inclusive to populations with different abilities or disabilities. In this talk, I will share how people, technology, and processes can have a positive impact on an industry ripe for change. Kayna This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Thank you so much for talking about clothing and consumers. Lovely watching and listening to you here on the top of the mountain of Italy.

My cousin barely survived a head-on collision. Her body was fused together with titanium because the surgeons thought they were preparing the body for a casket. But against astronomical odds she lived. She gets a tiny disability check and she is the sole caregiver for her elderly mother. She has zero options for affordable clothing... let alone clothing that doesn't inhibit her already limited mobility. Because this issue is actually a huge problem... I am so grateful that you have created a talk to help increase awareness of this issue!!!
