I'm super excited to see this VR4 transformation!

Man it makes me really glad that the 3000GT is getting some well deserved loved and recognition! I too am restoring a 3000GT VR4 I have some videos in my channel if anyone wants to check them out I was impressed with how nice the paint looked on the downpipe and test pipe, good job guys, subscribed!

Yo I would go with a 97 98 front bumper then send the head light to 3Slights and have him put halos around the projecters and do a robo mod to the headlights it looks soooo good! And I love that your keeping the active areo wing. 3slights does a great job my friend had his done on his vr4 and it turned out beautiful

It looks like the oil pan is dented , please check that, if it is the oil pickup tube it will have no clearance and will starve the engine from oil. This is one of the main reasons of a spun bearing. If If i were you I'd also check the bearing just to make sure there in spec and if you see bearing material in the oil.

I saw that too. That dented oil pan needs to be addressed immediately.

For the love of god, delete the door open alarm. It's right behind the stereo head unit

You can most certainly use that exhaust for 500awhp! You can drop in some 19T's or DR 650 turbos and they bolt right up as they are just larger TD04 turbos.

The interior pieces made a huge difference! And also you can knock the hive out from the stock cats to make them straight thru 😉 keep up the good work you guys rock . P.s you guys should go full black on all the seats and consider buying a factory black carpet and floor mats to go full murdered out on the interior .

Excited about the OEM ashtray haha

So I know you guys like to clean everything up and bring it back to like new. I would recommend you looking dry-ice media blasting, it can be used everywhere on the car undercarriage, engine bay, even on plastics.

VR-4 is still a beast IMO.

Because of fitment issues on my old vr4, I did have to use the old front downpipe as well. Although I did bust the old catalytic insides out. In case you are still restricted, do that.

I’m not so familiar w this car. Question will the transfer case ( if that’s correct name) handle 450bhp?? Loving it Evan. 🤣 at floor mats. Consider weather tech...too add, maybe go w black carpet kit and keep seats same color if plans are to keep it black

Somehow the ashtray on my 95' VR4 was the same, polished it with plastic polish = good. You'd think everything would be oxidized/burnt by UV the same.

What model or year had the active aero back wing? I do remember trying to take one off the line from a red light. He had a car parked in his lane ahead. He blew by me , cut in front and then waved his wing up and down at me.

Are you sure that the pipe for the rear turbo just for the front, from the video it looks like it has the same bends.

You could have spray painted the original ashtray black for $3. That's what I did on mine. They fade over the years from sun and general contact and use.

@@anthonyciccariello8089 Yeah I have a GTO imported from Japan,I think New Zealand was the only other country to keep the GTO name,they changed the name to 3000gt so it wouldn't upset Pontiac owners in US and Ferrari owners in Europe!

@@andrewmcintosh9832 it already had the main cat delete test pipe which he reused. And my bad, he couldn't get the rear bank CAT off because of poor access. Didn't realise it was tucked right up in that gap. And also Evan even says we still have one CAT ( 9.28 ) which is why I thought he had left one cylinder bank and deleted the other. It's a V6 transverse mounted.

I replaced mine with the black carpet and kept the seats the same and it looks a thousand times better I also need my front seats redone pls let me know how much you get them done for hahaha especially since you guys close to the border

im not going to lie the interior little touches were great. that ash tray is super annoying to keep looking good they fade so easy. as far as everything else you did today it just seems like a giant waste of time. i know the vr4 is not the most important thing in your shop right now, but instead if the janky ass exhaust why dident you just give her a bath? it just seems like this car is getting little to no love and as a vr4 owner myself that sucks. yall could have at least cleaned her up a bit.

Worked at Mitsubishi for years. Even heavily modified and tuned the car is a nose heavy tank that is miserable to work on.
