SUMMARY
=====
Whether you want to be a great parent, or you want to crush it in that next meeting at work, you'll need to turn that goal into an absolute MUST. You'll need to practice psychological necessity. Here are the four ways to do that:
#1. Associate your identity with success. (Watch the vid. It's pretty deep).
#2. Obsess over a topic. (Yes, obsession is ok).
#3. Connect with social duty (high performers ask themselves THIS question).
#4. Set deadlines (and remember THIS).

    I admire the financial independence of people, But you can live better if you work a little more. After watching this I think there are people out there, on the extreme, who plan to die early just to be able to retire early. To each their own but to me, retirement isn't just about not having to work, it's about having the freedom to do whatever you might reasonably want, such as travel, buying things, enjoying life, etc. I don't think I could retire with less than $3m in income-generating investments, maybe $2m at the very minimum. I plan to work until I'm at least 45

    Thank you, Brendon!! This is exactly why I started and put "all in", "obsessively" to my former nonprofit organization. No one ever understood why I was so focused by my "higher calling" mission to devote my life to what I did for those 8 years. Thank you for being probably the first person who has understood the "why" and what it takes. Thank you, and thank you for explaining it so well!!!

Really looking forward to High Performance Habits. It's a big struggle in medical school and hospitals of South Africa.. Brendon you have given me so much inspiration over the last 6 years, i've been listening and watching you. I have a comment though, identifying with your success, personalising that skill or path is sometimes detrimental to your health. If you identify yourself as much as your skill, for me i tend to stress myself out so much i do not want to put my work out there, because any criticism will mean a stab at me and who i actually am. I had to learn the hard way that i am working hard to hone that skill, and carrying it as my identity does not mean that i'm a failure every time i get criticised for my work.
