Making Star - Lord's Shirt Pattern [Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2]
Hey everyone! This week I'm making my own shirt pattern out of tape and wax paper! I use this method for a lot of the fabric and foam patterns I make!

One positive side effect to putting masking tape directly on the shirt is it removes lint and cat hairs.

The shirt transfer would be super helpful! I know I'm about to have to do that for the first time and I'm so nervous 😰

I'm nervous too! I got a 4 pack of them in case I make mistakes Hahaha
Definitely looks like it says yeah baby, haha. Awesome video! Definitely super helpful
Thank you for sharing this idea!! I really like the wax paper idea, it "seams" a lot cleaner and more forgiving than tin foil etc. ;) Genius idea to use a shirt that you like the fit of for a pattern! Thanks again for taking the time to make this awesome vids!!

Sewing isn't too hard. Just take your time and think about the next few steps before dropping the needle. I started out handstitching for 18th century reenacting. When I got my sewing machine for other stuff, it felt like cheating it was so easy.

Hand sewing is the best way, but also the most time consuming. When I first learned to sew, my mom joked that she wouldn't let me touch the machine until I could do a buttonhole the way her grandmother did--by hand. Joke's on me, because the only way to do buttonholes on my machine requires me to basically drop the feed dogs and hand pull it through the backward part of the four steps. If I want a honestly decent buttonhole, I have to do it by hand.
