Making Simple Baskets from Vines
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A how-to video on weaving baskets from vines you can find in the woods or fields near your home. No special tools needed. I used wisteria vines in this simple, easy to follow tutorial. This video show how to finish the basket off with strips of old cloth. #basketweaving #homesteading #bushcraft

You are an incredible teacher! This is so clear. Plus, I *love* that you’re using invasive plants and used clothing!

You are adorable! Don’t critique or compare yourself to a “professional “ you are an artist and who or what make a professional anyway? You speak clearly, and show examples well! I’ll be watching. ADHD crafter here start new things all the time! 😊

Aunt Judy is the best 😊 thank you for watching
I love the rustic look of these baskets! And they seem to be so sturdy and useful. I thought basket making would be a lot more difficult and technical, but I bet you I could make one! I would have to make all sizes and shapes! Thank you for this wonderful vid!!❤

@@hummingcatfish that's so interesting you mentioned meditation because as soon as you started weaving, I could feel my brain switching into meditation zone. I knew right then that basket making would be so relaxing👍😊
This is so clear and easy to follow. I've been experimenting with both invasive vines and scrap fabrics for baskets, but not together! What a good idea. Thanks for sharing.

Oooohhhh, I wish I could be there too!! I think you were 2 or 3 the summer your mom showed us basket weaving. I was really bad at it, but your mom was so patient. The summer we did egg rolls was another favorite 😋. I bet those kiwi vines would make beautiful baskets (send pics or better yet- do a video!!!) You got me wanting to grow some 🥝 Thank you for being so supportive 🙏❤️

I also love how you use the vines from your area and making good use of a discarded t-shirt. Genius!!

I'm so glad you liked that 😊 The t shirts are quicker and make softer handles 😁🙏
Love the basket! If my arthritis would cooperate, I could actually make one of these with your, as always, awesome clear, step-by-step instructions! Thank you Aunt Judy, for passing on this wonderful skill, by way of your sweet niece, to us!
