Making Shed Doors, from reclaimed timber.

Welcome back to my workshop 😁
In todays video i show you how I made a set of re-claimed timber doors for my shed build.
These were made from some old decking that was recently given to me to see if i could make use of.
All i need to do now is get some treatment on them before they decide to rot away 😁
I hope you enjoy the video, and possibly pick up some hints and tips.
If you liked it please hit the like button 👍 , possibly share it with your social media friends and even subscribe to my channel (it all helps my channel a lot.... and its free to do 😁.
Thanks for watching 😁👍

Nicely done. I can appreciate a man who admits when he made a mistake. My only concern is the lack of vertical studs in the walls! OMG what are they 72" on center? And no header whatsoever above the window? I'd go 16" on center, maybe 24" because it's a shed, but not what you have there.

It must be such a great feeling to stand back and look at what a huge and impressive build you've done singlehandedly Frank. Nearly there!

Great job on the doors Frank, they'll outlast the rest of the shed but you'll never regret how sturdy they are. Locks look strong but it's worth putting a couple of bolts through instead of nails on the hinges to stop anyone just unscrewing them to get in. Whole structure looking really sound now.

Hi Frank, that is a novel way to use those hinges, the end of the hinge is supposed to go on the outside of the door jam, not inside. Also, if you look at the hinge one of the holes is square, this is for a carriage bolt to add extra strength to the hinge, loved the re-use of the old timber, great thinking.

When cutting multiple half laps, it could have been quicker to use the track saw as you could cut multiple pieces laid next to each other at the same time? P.S. love your videos, light hearted and always an enjoyable watch, keep em coming
