This is by far the best tutorial I’ve found, and in just 25 minutes! You don’t know what it means to someone like me... My mother got sick and passed during the pandemic, all we did together is sew. I’ve learned so much from her since childhood and she’s gone to soon. Having access to lessons like this truly helps the situation. Thank You 🤗

Great clip! One tip that really helps, using a T-square or carpenters triangle to ensure your bottom hems are exactly 90% on the sides or else they won't hang right. Learnt this the hard way when the first blind I made didn't hand well due to the low hem and sides not being 90%.

I love the craftsmanship in your work and the way so much is hand done with care - so little plastic/glue/iron ons/shortcuts. It's really nice and I'm now actually looking forward to the project in front of me! Thank you!

This was a work of art! So enjoyable to watch and I could follow exactly the way you worked, measured, sewed,...it was sonsatisfying to see an artisan like yourself produce something so beautiful. Thanks to the close ups of your hand stitching, I have learnt the right way to sew closed my hand made tailors ham and sleeve roll. Thank you so much 💐

My mother was an upholsterer as well as worked for Hugo Bosca until she retired. Most people think that, since she was so amazing at it, I would be as well. I have an idea. How about leave the vinyl shade on, to create a black out shade, and spray glue the pretty curtain on both sides of the vinyl so the people looking at your window from the outside get a pretty view also. I plan to apply this idea to my bay windows. I always feel that the outside world misses out on the beauty of the curtains. 🥰👍

Thanks for the great tutorial. I’m making my blinds with a blackout lining and wondering if I have to do anything differently re making the channels as the lining is thicker. And usually I would take a blackout lining right to the edge, folding over face fabric and stitching on to lining. As it will fit outside window recess maybe cutting lining as a normal lining will be ok. Would appreciate your expert opinion.
