Started learning to drive, and I just turn a lot better and smoother with one hand. But when I take my driving test I have to use 2 hands

guys do we need sticky palms to do this?

I usually steer with my left hand and I have it slightly to the left of the center bottom while I handle the gears with the right hand. I don't know but I just feel like I have more control this way than in any other position. Even using 2 hands is a bit cumbersome for me. Why you use when one is sufficient? Especially driving a manual car in the city.

There is always a possibility your hand may slip, but it's rare and I definitely agree with you

I'm in wheelchair I can drive only with one hand and when I watching you it is easy 😂😂 Now I'm gonna definitely buy a car 🤗👌

I usually steer with one hand when driving slow or needs a lot of steering. When moving in almost straight path and fast, I use both hands. One hand practice, for me at least, is very helpful if you use manual transmission.

I broke my left arm in a car crash, so I’ll need to be driving with only my right hand for a least a few months till my humerus heals up

As much as i want to i have no confidence doing a one hand because may palms are very sweaty. 😓

u dont remember how i made the transition to using one hand but now i cant use 2 hands btw the palm sucks in when there is no powersteering flipping the hand is better you will always have full grip exept the while flipping but that is nothing when done by rolling the hand using the friction of the skin

I drive with just my right arm because my left doesn’t work. When I get in my car to drive I have a hard time closing the door 🤷‍♀️

I was driving at 8 years old in europe the legal age to drive is 18 but now im 12 and my parents let me drive to the store whith their old vw mk4 manual because they wont let me use their new ones

Just imagine the steering wheel is a clock. Before turning left or right, I give you some examples: -(you're going to turn right): you put your palm hand at 12 o'clock and turn RIGHT to 9 o'clock. Same as turning left. Have a safe drive!

One hand turning is way better than two hand turn

Your system of turning the steering wheel with one hand may be good in cars having power steering and soft but when the steering is hard this system might not work.

I Drive used 2 hand

People shouldn’t be drinking coffee while driving anyways. Any little distraction can cause an accident lol.

Why would you risk drinking coffee, while making a turn with one hand? That's not an unsafe situation that one cannot prevent. Most professional drivers do not do this.
