FF's use the riff from Holy Diver in their song Something From Nothing from their new album Sonic Highways as Dave Grohl's way of paying tribute to Dio (ori. Aug 83) - It's music played by gifted musicians - to their credit , they've are a huge success for 20 years (70 thousand fans in Sweden stayed on to watch DG sing rock songs on crutches in June 2015) respect their solid work ethics. No gluten, no guten -Dave Grohl
I've been a Foo Fighters fan since hearing Ever Long and My Hero in 1998 on radio. I saw some of this and the main program of this on HBO in 2015 and bought the blu-ray set and really enjoyed all the content. I also own the vinyl record and played it for my dad and he liked some of the songs off it. Was very sad when i heard the news that Taylor passed away he was a talented drummer and huge part of the Foo's.
Rest in Peace Taylor my brother ❤️❤️
As cool as all the Foos are, the coolest guy in the room might be Butch Vig.
This is sick... and that riff before the end so chaotic love this band.
I love this behind the scenes stuff. Some of this was in the show, but obv not all. Hearing them play thru the song without the vocals was really cool.
The bass is the gluten, and the song is the bread, so the studio is the oven, and we cooking a song up in here. we aint gonna have gluten free bread.
I'm so into the foos it's crazy just watching them is fun and inspiring
One of the best foos drum moments. 💗
Lmao I love how excited Taylor got at the end
(Dave hits blunt) 8:19

15:05 is fucking hysterical and Taylor’s face shows you how badly Hawkins wants the band to sound like Metallica 😂

Lol yeah, I love Dave’s songwriting but a few thrashy riffs wouldn’t hurt in my opinion
The best Foo's song yet imo.

I would agree, but "Make it Right" on the newest one gives it a run.
❤ I can't stop loving this it is gold forever.
And why is Butch Vig not in the HOF?!? Anything he’s involved with is gold.
This was fucking rad! RIP Taylor
11:52 I'm 200% sure that THAT VOCAL LINE IS THE ONE THAT ENDED UP BEING MIXED ON THE FINAL SONG :D
1:20 - 1:45 R.I.P. Taylor Hawkins 😭 (1972 - 2022) 🙏🏻 Best Drummer They Ever Had 🥁

Waow, i love this band and for a musician, to see How they record their songs, that's just great !! Pure rock n'roll ! Greetings from Paris, France (where we can play rock too ...!) 🎸🎶
It's super interesting to watch the subtle changes in production from that older Nothing Left To Lose BTS documentary and this one. The energy, the creative process, the production process, it's all really inspiring.

It’s a tribute to DIO. DUH
Those dark melodies are why I'm so influenced by the Foo Fighters and Dave's guitar playing. He always comes up with something dark but beautiful and unique. Taylor Hawkins, man, gone too soon

"Holy Diver you've been down too long in the midnight sea..."
Thank you for sharing this.
Love Chris’ “I did it” face at 13:13 ❤❤
The entire last 2 minutes of this video are almost better than the finished product.
I’ll always love that ending the way T reacted 😂😂😂❤
If they make a foo fighters movie, I vote for Keanu Reeves as Dave.
