I'm a huge fan of the original Roadhouse & have watched it countless times. I'm not a fan of remakes, so I was reluctant to watch the new one. I watched it & the story line is different enough to make it it's own movie & at the same time pays tribute to the original. Great movie!

I loved this movie, great combo of action, comedy and drama. Jake did awesome as usual and Conor was very impressive for his first movie. I hope you make more movies Conor. You did way better than the Rock did on his first performance.

7:35 to 8:01 hits the nail on the head and is explained so elegantly, gone are the days of a new movie coming out and just having a good time, always wondering if it's going to be any good or not nowadays with so much watered down, pandering or just uninspired lackluster shit. I had the absolute best time with this movie, it just knew what it wanted to be and not seeing the trailer or knowing anything really beforehand I was so pleasantly surprised with it 10/10. Hope it wins all the awards for the amazing innovative filming style!

Watched yesterday, Jake with Conor in the fight movie 🤣 but it was a great great fun, very well done movie!!!

Connor has set a new level in his acting performance that nobody will be able to match!😅

I am a big fan of Jake. I really really liked the movie. the guy with the broken arm was funny. Conor was a live wire. I really like the fact that he didn't get the girl. I was like wtf! when the crocodile ate that dude. CLASSIC !!!!!

Badass movie!

I thought this movie is awsome. I see the Old movie and this movie as separate things. That scene where Connor says “something is wrong with you, me too” was special to me. Loved it. Cool fight scenes. And fun at the same time. Connor and Jake made a good team. ❤🙏🏻💪

I admire the approach to choreography and stunts because you want to make the fight scenes look authentic as possible. Hollywood have finally caught up to Hong Kong action cinema where they would employ a similar methodology of shooting fight scenes. Using pads and editing juxtapositions to make the effect look seamless and the contact look real. It’s done with excellence in this movie. It’s the movie’s selling point. I was wondering how did Gylenhall tank a direct headbutt from Conor because it’s directly in shot, no hiding his face no stunt man and now I know. That’s so cool.

I enjoyed the movie, I've watched it twice now.

I dont care anything the plot the special effects even the story i only care about jake is a very good actor and his acting keeps me engage in whole movie.

I really wish they would've made this as an original action movie, leaving anything to do with the original Roadhouse out. I thought it was a good action movie, however, there was almost nothing in it to call it a Roadhouse remake. I truly believe that a great disservice was done, to both movies, by having any reference to Roadhouse in it

Big fan of Jake and the original movie. I think people have a much higher expectation of fight scenes today than they did back when the original movie was released. I think the fight scenes in the remake were really good. Overall, the movie was a dud though, storyline was weak and unbelievable and Conor character was just silly in my opinion. I think the movie may have worked even with the weak storyline if they found a better bad guy. I know Conor can fight but there's a lot of people that can fight, they need someone that can act too. Looking forward to the next Jake movie. Haven't given up on the guy yet :). BTW, it's unlikely there will be a second movie if that decision is based on reviews. 3.2 out of 5 on Rotten Tomato and about the same on Prime. A lot of people watched it though. I guess I don't understand the ratings game well enough to know if the first movie gets terrible ratings but a lot of viewers, will they try to make a second movie. Since I'm a fan of Gyllenhaal I might watch the second movie but if it was bad that might tank his career. I guess we'll find out soon :).

If the movie was named anything other than roadhouse it would be better. But it was named after an all time classic. So the comparisons will come. Overall it was OK. Its funny

3:08 but they didnt use this Technique on every fight and there are so many cases of fights that look dumb. The first fight with the singer, dont recall his name, has a horrible CGI feeling to it, why didnt they use the technique there?

Connor McGregor didn't add anything other than fanfare to the movie, and maybe technical expertise. I'm not criticizing the movie as a whole, as I found it very entertaining, but if anything having a bloated looking Connor McGregor as a main character detracted from the movie as his acting was horrible and bizarre. It would have been significantly more enjoyable if he played a more menacing silent character that lead up to an ultimate fight.

Conor will never get another offer for movies. ..

@@STREAMWARS No, I mean the word dude says in this video. I hate when people try to use a word when don't even know how it's spelled or pronounced. Especially when their profession is communication (reporters, journalists, actors, politicians, etc.).

I mean if you can get past the paddy prick who is essentially playing himself (failing miserably at that) and the worst fight scene ever (post malone in full dad bod mode cant throw a punch to save his life) then its actually not a bad flick.

Best part was when I didn’t watch it and watched the 1989 original again instead.

No disrespect to anyone, the special effects in this movie was horrible but the movie was funny

There were a few bad effects but most of them were great and hard to even tell what was or wasnt an effect.

They shouldn't have bothered the film is bloody awful 😂😂😂😂
