Until this morning, I was not aware of what Jennifer Berezan was doing in the world. Now I am sort of in awe. She, even more than the Playing for Change people, seems to have "gotten" the message that first surfaced in the One Giant Leap project and continued to explore what can be done, setting up cameras at the intersection of big ideas and spirituality and watching people make music there, suggesting a truly inclusive view of humanity and what it "means" to be merely one tiny point in the perpetually unfolding tapestry of life on this planet. This is an answer to a prayer. I have been sitting with the current unfolding of human’s inhumanity to itself and its planet. Keeping an open heart and holding the space for everything with no exclusions is a work of epic proportions at this time. Many days I have to withdraw from more input to restore some level of balance, but the weight of these times is always with me. We are all here and share this time together. May we stay awake, see what must be seen, and gift each moment with openhearted presence to the best of our ability. Thank you for this beautiful work
