ughh it baffles me how you accomplish so much in such little time.. I've only ever attended one Game Jam which was a weekend deal, and that was super fun but we had 4 people compared to your 1 and you arguably did as much/more than us haha.
@Dragondraikk
5 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
Having only 1 person also means you don't have to manage team dynamics. In game jams a lot of time often goes to waste on that in teams.
@benjohnson7610
5 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
Based on my experience, teams tend to actually get less done due to "too man cooks in the kitchen" where with one person you get to do what you want exactly as you want it. This can be great in getting things done but often makes the whole experience less fun, not to mention with one person you have to worry about your own bias towards liking something rather than when it was actually good. Personally I've only ever "won" game jams when working solo or with one other person who lacks the confidence to do anything other than what I assign them, but I would say every game jam I've done with a team has been a much more fun experience so long as you can avoid any drama.

On my first time trying to make a game I spent around 2 days just getting my character to walk
I like to imagine that this is taking place at the same time as Overcooked and that's how they get their ingredients so fast.
I love your channel dude!! I'm in high school right now and an aspiring game developer, and your videos are so helpful and inspiring. Keep it up!
Dude youโve outdone yourself!! Apart from the game itself which is an excellent idea that gave me a few chuckles, this video is edited so wonderfully, it was the perfect length, and the perfect amount of awesome to get me stoked to get back on the game dev train (once my laptop is back from the repair shop). Thank you thank you!! Much love!
Omg that was awesome! Thanks for making this and sharing is footage of you working on the game! C:
Brackeys man this video was great as always ! perfect time for you to show this to me it has a very similar structure.
Dude your super inspiring and I really appreciate all the encouragement and knowledge that you share. I have started into Unity Indie game Development recently and you have been a major motivator to keep it up through the whole learning curve. Thanks!!!
These are some of my favorite videos of yours. IDK why but they are just really fun to watch.
These are the type of videos I want to see, and not these "sponsered by Unity - here a cool asset thing". Please keep making this stuff Brackeys!

Cool! I'd love to see more games you've done!
It's amazing! More devlogs! Please)
Hey that's my game at 0:02 ! (Documentia) Thank you for everything, I wouldn't have been able to learn Unity as fast without you :)
Cool stuff man!

Love these videos and your games! Please give us more! ๐โค๏ธ
Really cool idea and really appreciate you sharing the source code, I'm really curious about some of the mechanics, as it's been 4 years since i last touched unity but want to get back to it. Nice work ๐!
Out of all I like brakeys most. Because they give the source code of most of the work which helps me out very much to learn new things
Bro I love your videos. It helped me a a lot to make make better games. Thanks Again
Great job !!
here i am missing brackeys vids after 4 years ๐ญ
Iโve fallen in love with your keyboard. Can you share the specific model?

Awesome keep the good work!
Ive been programming for about 4 years now and I still feel like this is very advanced for me.. I am 18 but jeez im impressed. I do also switch between languages though. Keep up the good work!
Always interesting to see how people create games, do you have tutorials on how you created your art? I've always used gimp and have every image as a different file.
Love it man, you put a smile on me face

love your videos bro my next game will surely be made with Unity after I'm done with my current project dropping this month.
Awesome, awesome, awesome
The idea of creating games is terrifying to me but your videos are so inspirational, I might actually have a go one day. Keep it up!
Looks great!! The only things I would add would be walk animations and crow flying animations.
You should hold onto that "Mr. Peanut" IP.
I love all of this!
Thank you brackeys!
Wow, amazing progress in just a few days! This could totally work as a phone co-op game. On screen joystick and button, Bluetooth local play both Android and iOS (I don't know how hard that is to implement), drop in multiplayer, scalable difficulty based on how many players are in the game.
Great videos, great style. After i defended my thesis, ill work really hard on my gamedev skills. I wish i could work with you, or have great little team and have this path as career. :D
This is really nice! Please do a tutorial series how to make this game. I am really interested in your thought process in making it all work. Cheers
your videos are fun to watch. i can't stop laughing about mr. peanuts and the code you don't want to see again. HAHAHA keep it up !!!
Great job!
killer video, thanks for sharing man! :)
"I forgot to mention, this happened" jajaja great job
And to the people watching, look how easy and fun this was for him! You may just now be learning and starting your game dev career, and it may feel slow, frustrating, and everything similar, but if you keep at it you can be this good, or better!
Looks like a lot of fun!
Wow! What a well made video!

Nahh, plan really does help a lot and it quickly becomes your second nature to write everything down :D
I have another suggestion: You should add it so you can grow a scarecrow, Just it has a limited life, and it has a time period between when you can grow it again.
Nice one bro Keep it up :)
Awesome i love the way you make games with passion :) (y)
Greetings from Greece! Congrats on your videos! They are pretty fresh and understandable. We are a STEAM team in Greece and we try to spread game design and gamification in general to teens. Your videos are helpful and our students like them very much. PS: Our students suggest planting beans to get burgers.
It is very good to see this type of content and what it is possible to create in a few days but with a lot of effort. I'm trying to bring this kind of content into my channel, creating free packages and help others developers, hopefully one day I'll be able to produce the same quality as you. Continue like this, without that kind of incentive the community would be nothing. Thank you.
Well done ! Love your videos you guys . TEAM BRACKEYS Rules ๐ค. Always gives me a boost in inspiration when watching your videos .
If you have ever seen a chef cut up a fish with really sharp knives in 4s into perfect slices... you understand how it is to what brackeys just make a game. I am in aw and inspired, thank you!
Really inspiring video, thank you so much! I have been wondering something myself since quite a bit now. Could someone kindly explain what does Brackeys' company do?
Excellent !
I hope we see mr peanut and mr pickle in your future games lol, love them
I would definitely like to see more in depth tutorial on how to make games like this.
BRACKEYS BANGER!! I WANNA PLAY IT AS SOON AS MY EYES LAND ON IT
4:38 have you heard about a kanban board? haha i like to use Trello for my to do's lists or the reminders app on iphone, but hey, gdocs works too hehe
"Ignore it all and start with graphics" ๐๐. This is a problem I always have too ๐๐
The only thing I would add is a simple walk animation. The game looks incredibly good but once I realized the player is sliding everywhere I can't unsee it. Keep it up!
Nah Breckeys, you're a great artist and teacher๐
Man, you make it look so easy.
Watering jug looks like a small bong !
lol I like how even a small and simple game takes a ton of effort. You made that in 4 days, and here I am spending hours just trying to figure out basic fundamentals of Unity.
man, this man can make better games in 4 days than I can in a month.
I wish I had done a format like this for my 7 day jam where I did my absolute best to implement mgs1 sneaking mechanics. Would have been fun to compile a video just like this one about it
The game looks great!
I want that phone! Keep it up, very funny and also motivational! Thank you!
I really enjoy your videos to learn Unity, and could you please give some more info on using enums to control the states of the game objects.
I love how there was in the code a Debug.Log ("WHAAAT!?!?!")
These are my favourite videos
I love it!
Some ideas: 1. After reaching a certain amount of points, you get a scarecrow to prevent crows from coming. 2. Water ha to be collected from a pond. 3. Add animal that you have too feed and collect for example milk and eggs from.
โIgnore everything and start with graphicsโ Best advice EVER!
"I then started working on the meat of the game...crops" ahahahaha
great video chief
Hey Brackeys, what are the sprites sizes you use in PhotoShop for pixel art?
