And after all that they released a broken game about evil corporations broken because of corporate interests and it took almost 3 years to make it into a playable state still with only half the things that where promised , by the corporate hype machine. A big part of the worst game launch in history was some suit deciding when 75% of the game was complete they need to get some A list actor to play a major role in the game. Greedy suits ... You don't need a A list actor in a game to make it successful just a good written one will do fine even better. K R is a cool dude but that role didn't fit him at all. His voice his demeanor he's performance is just weak. CDPR probably had a 10 times better character made by the time you decided to hype the game by a dude who doesn't even play video games. At least get a actor that games. Good Job! Now CDPR will move the US and become Woke next. Can't wait for the rainbow adds , fat women , fully covered women on the holographic publicity , the mandatory they/them , ugly character if you play a female one 90% gay characters , dialogue written by 10 year olds and Todd Howard. RIP CDPR it's been fun while it lasted you will be remembered as the guys that had balls to make edgier games , another studio falls to woke nutjobs, Sad times for gaming.

You could have left it at the first two paragraphs, you know? That third one completely undermines whatever came before. Regardless, I'll bite. My review of this game: TL;DR: Brilliant game, story and music, 4.5/5 for me. Did they overpromise? Yes. They did. I've been watching this game since early on, but never bought it because of the sad state of the game. Therefore my view is fresh from the current patch 2.0 on. I can only tell you, for the price the game is seriously awesome. Chef's kiss. Elaboration follows: Story wise: Sure, not every single mission or gig is very engaging, but the main stories made me feel pretty strong emotions. The "Drop your arms to your side as you watch the entire credits scroll by" type. All of the personal stories... Panam, Kerry, Judy, Rogue, River, and fucking Johnny I'll remember for a long time. But that's not to say the side-gigs aren't filled to the brim with stories too. Some got me really interested in what happened, or what will follow. The music is brilliant. I'm not a musician so I can't comment on true qualities, but simply speaking: these songs are saved to playlists already. The graphics are just ... wow. On a good graphics card with raytracing stuff on, just wow. On the programming/scripting side: Yeah, there are still issues. It's clear signs of CDPR bit off more then they could chew. But they were soooo close. I'm a developer myself (not in gaming though) so I recognize that there are some 'housekeeping' mistakes in the code. What fixes it: Just rebooting the game every now and then if you're binging a looong session. (Which you probably shouldn't for health reasons anyway, but that's another thing) Game design wise there are some "balance" issues with regards to differences in the original game and 2.0, mostly clothing that seem to be a forgotten concept. Some specific items still give bonuses, some don't. It's weird. Personal fix: Just equip an outfit with your desired look and check out some clothing once in a while. They're very minor bonuses anyway. So basically, minor stuff in the grand scheme of things. It's a great game, and worth the money. Are you right in being angry for the state of 1.0? Yeah. 2.0 is good though.

I'm old enough to to remember the days when games had balls and didn't need to conform to the lowest common denominator. The quality control was also an executive issue, hiring an outside QA team and then not actually communicating the issues the QA team found to the devs. Blame the execs, but also remember to temper anger and have patience to let them make it the best it can be before release.

@@chrisallen9638 The game also only really works when everything comes together. I played it during launch on ps4. Did not understand the genre, played on ps4, it was launch. So i disliked every aspect of it and also found the story bad. Now i play it again on a pc (even low end), watched edgerunners and can compare it to other rpg open world games like horizon or starfield (lol) and now I can finally understand how great the game is.

Having now spent over 300 hours in game … this is one of the greatest games ever made! Definitely one of one of my all time favorite worlds , I am 42 years old and have been gaming since I was 6 years old , thank you to all the creators of this masterpiece

Had over 500 before dlc, over 660 hours after dlc. Im just Murkmanning the whole city now. Recommended game. Shame we never got the casino, monorail etc for more immersion tho.

The only good thing about this game is the music lol... Corrupt Polish company full of lies, overpromises and manipulation of fans trust

So at the end of 2023, when the game is finally out, It’s a literally my best gaming experience I’ve ever had.

Completed this game for the first time last week on PS5. There are still bugs, but it didn't interrupt getting totally invested in Night City & it's characters. Had an incredible experience and I needed 2-3 days to adjust back to reality when I was done. Unforgettable journey and endings

I’ve had the game in a wrapper for two years. Popped it into the PS5 last month and have been slowly getting into it. I love the story and the world they built. I can’t wait to see how this will conclude as I’m still in the middle of act 2.

It was still fairly buggy when the PS5 version came out but now there’s next to none now. It finally feels like the game that was originally advertised.

I was not hyped for the game like most people, I even waited a little bit before getting it, just debating on getting it at all. Got it on PC and I really liked it, it was an awesome experience for me

I went in it this idea of "oh its like saint row meets fallout" and then it's actually a very nice game which looks beautiful and has a good story (be it very short). It was the hype and the reputation of the witcher 3 that this game could just not live up to sadly.

This guy created something I never knew would grow to be HUGE!!! My older brother and his friends used to be into and play Cyberpunk(2013) and Cyberpunk 2020 and I used to watch not knowing what the hell any of it was about but then I learned about it over the years and here I am about to play it in my way lol. @@nathanbarrels3463 The gigs are fun because the action is fun. Gives you a chance to hack, shoot and stab as much as you want and make some quick cash. One of my favorite side missions is one they clearly ripped from Pulp Fiction where V just sits in a diner and talks a bunch of punks out of robbing the place. So good.

@@nathanbarrels3463 The bartender who asks you the follow his wife is a good one, the injured mercenary that you need to escort to safety, and there’s a certain crime fighter’s vehicle that you discover in the game. I can’t wait for the DLC.

"It's still coming, when it's ready." lol So glad the game got the glowup it deserved. It's now hands down the most exiting and immersive game I've played since I first sat in front of my Atari ST in 1990.

aside from all of the bugs and the overpromises, this game is a gem. Story was amazing, mod community is amazing, the level of details in this game is amazing.

Recently beat it when i got my ps5. It quickly became one of my favorite games ive played. Was hooked immediately by how immersive it is. The character's are great, the amount of side missions in addition to the main story, and its visually gorgeous.

It's finally ready with this 2.0 patch. Killer game.

It's been over a year since this has been released and I have owned many games that give you a "replay value" but this game is the first where I've taking up that offer to try another life path. And the one thing that draws me back to this world is the size and scope but equally if not more(sorry game developers) is the music. It's just amazing. I'm not ashamed to say that in 2022 that I rock 2077 music in my car

The music is so epic, but the game itself looks just so beautiful.

Mike Pondsmith is a really awesome visionary I love his Cyberpunk series.

This game is so fucking good, i finished it and am already chomping at the bit for the future DLC

I was playing it and was just hoofing around between ncpd calls and side missions and looked up and just saw a huge city scape that felt new and different. I have since travelled on foot a lot more because everything looks so damn good. I can really see why it took this long to make it. Its a masterpiece

Bought Cyberpunk 2077 without any expectations and when I played the game I was literally mind blown. The graphics, the storyline and the music are working so in harmony and exactly how I imagined Night City to be. Hopefully there will be a part 2. I haven't really invested my time in a game but this one hooked me up. I loveed the style of this game. The dialogue. The possibilities. Cars are fucking cool. Buildings. All. The game is truly a masterpiece. Bugs can be fixed. Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be played and updated with new content for years!

Just wanted to give a major shout out to all those involved in making this game. It's truly a masterpiece and has provided hours and hours of entertainment. Well worth the money! Something this ambitious and large scale will certainly have a few minor bugs however after the patch, I have no major problems with the game. Life can be hard a challenging and this game is a great distraction. The best I can come up with is, THANK YOU for sharing your vision and all the hard work creating this immersive game.

They definitely took their time to do things the right way, and im grateful that they had the patience, passion, and persistence with this project. Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and Phantom Liberty are absolute MASTERPEICES. Everyone involved deserve their roses.

I wasn`t hyped till i got cp2077 for christmas. Got to play it not at premiere date but on 25`th december (ps4 base version) on 1.06 patch and i didn`t knew why ppl were bashing the game. For a moment i thought i got some kind of golden version bc i haven`t got single problem with this game (yeah 3-4 times blue screen, but autosave every 2-3 minutes saved it all the time). Besides the story and lore... im just in love. I just hope next time CP will be more careful about polishing their games.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the #1 game for me and always will be.

Currently on my 3rd play through. Despite a few bugs the gameplay, story telling, and characters that you truly care about it's close to perfect. And more emotional than I would have thought.

If Refused ever sees this comment just know I could 100% tell how much effort you guys put into the Samurai music. I listen to it everyday and it just gets better with time, you guys did a fantastic job! Maybe one day we will get some more of Samurai?

I’ve been playing video games since 1982. From arcade classics, 8 bits computers and consoles, to PS5. Cyberpunk is the best game I’ve played. Period.

the moment i played this game. I realized how much effort was put into every detail of cyberpunk and so well knitted and perfected. I was only mind blown after mind blown. The scale and scope of this game is worth all that time the devs spent on the game.

I am lucky I guess to have enjoyed this game with almost no bugs from day one on my PC. I loved it, and now that I am replaying it, I'm loving it even more. It has its weaknesses, yes, but the world they created, how the city feels, the characters like Silverhand, the freedom of character builds, all that was so amazing

Me too, I played on a pretty low spec pc and experienced only very small bugs, some visual glitches, one or two gigs getting stuck and 2 crashes in 140 hours. It's certainly better now since it runs more smoothly even on higher settings, there are almost no visual glitches and none of the quests bugged for me now. It's also crazy that I haven't seen a single T-posing NPC in those 140 hours despite playing on the version 2 weeks after the release and a replay on 1.6. It was relatively bug free for some and way more buggy for others, especially on consoles. But experienced varied a lot, it was very buggy for some and only barely more buggy than an average game for lucky people like me.

I was a preorder person was super hyped as we all know the game was not ready I got through the prologue with it being so glitchy and buggy I deleted the game fast forward to a month ago I finally played it through and it was amazing The attention to detail the weapons the vehicles the city the characters they put so much work into this game and I very much appreciate it now looking forward to a DLC

They really did there best for Phantom Liberty.

Remember! If you hear cello at any point while playing this game, it means that everything is gonna get cranked up to 11. Get prepared for the emotional rollercoaster!

The graphics, animations, facial emotions were so SO good. You could tell they had to scale back A LOT to make it playable on systems (including PCs, since not everybody has a NASA computer). Timestamps of what I'm talking about: 38:19 , 38:38 , 38:53

Basically a game like Cyberpunk wouldn't use mo-cap and advanced animation techniques for just pre rendered cinematics. Even Silverhand looked amazing at E3, but like ass in the final version. Shameful from whoever is responsible at CDPR for what was billed as the game of the decade

There's no actual cut-scenes in the game, everything is interactive and rendered on game engine, so how do you imagine putting an .mp4 file in the final version would work like? Yes, these whole stuff were used solely just for marketing video, like - it's not something uncommon in AAA game industry.

I love this game. Already beat it once (chose Johnny's secret ending), now playing from the beginning with a new V, collecting trophies and going for another ending. I'm gonna try them all. Playing on PS4, never had any problems except that the game crashes after exactly 4 hours of playing. My fave is Johnny Silverhand, though. Some of his lines are so funny 😀❤️

some people say it's crashing every minute and other are saying it's crashing every hour so whether the game is good or not, it's clear that there's some problem with it and they sold us a game full of bugs for sixty dollars

P.S. major kudos to CDPR for realizing that PC's will ALWAYS have more horsepower than consoles, and allowing further graphics settings to show it!

This gave me a huge impression on video game audio. Never realized how awesome the folks that put all of that together are! Very nova!

30:10 I love Keanu's definition of Johnny. He is like a non-comedic version of Britta from Community. "Has seen the world, but doesn't get it". He chose violence because hate is the easy way out. There is a Johnny in all of us, luckily most do care enough to keep it bottled.

After a shaky release and a game that was unplayable in the beginning (for me on PS4) this game is now the best game I ever played. And as a 55 year old gamer I have played a lot of games. This game has it all, A sandbox called Night City that is huge and has so many layers to it it´s incredible. And now when the game works and I play on the PS5 it is so beautiful. Everything from the atmosphere in Night City to the characters in the game makes it epic. All the sounds, music, dialog is top notch. And the amount of work that must have been put down in creating the architechture of Night City, Both outside aswell as inside. The cool apartments all with their different styles. All weapons, gadgets clothing, there is endless of options to make V look exactly how you like. The only thing I could wish for in this game is the option to be able of modify your cars and bikes. Like in GTA 5 wich was my favorite game earlier. I Love all the diffrent ways you can go about in this game. All the choices you can do to alter the future of your character. There is so much I can go on forever but I wont, Instead I will go and play the game, again! Adios Chooms! And thanks for the best game ever!

I think this game needs a lot more respect than it has been getting. I mean despite the early release fiasco it's a really amazing game with such a sick story and characters.

No it's a OK game ,it's definitely not amazing , I mean there is a hell of alot wrong with it even now , the main story is way way way too short ,you could probably finish it in a couple of hours if not for the filler , the animations with the melee on the enemy's are terribly bad , the game is a let down in all honesty

This game is a masterpiece. The sheer depth to just one corner of the game is enough to draw you in and go, "... what.. what's going on over there", and spend some time walking around. The story is interesting with characters you want to interact with, but somehow it's just the whole feel of the game. Like you're just along for the ride, and it's an awesome ride.

Sadly, as much as I love the game... there's way too many of those "what's going on over there?" places that don't actually have anything going on. There is SO much detail in the game. Little shops here and there, really detailed building exteriors, fancy looking areas and such, entire shopping districts and impressive looking alleyways. But then you walk over to them and....nothing. You can't buy anything from the shop, you can't enter that super detailed looking building, that fancy area over there is just for show, most of the shops and doors in that alleyway aren't accessible. There's so little interaction with the world itself, that it makes a huge chunk of the game just feel like a movie set, where there's absolutely nothing going on, but it gives the allusion that there is. Add to that the lack of subtle interactions too. Like not being able to sit on a bench, or lean on hand rails (despite npcs doing it all the time). These little interactions aren't super important, and not really something I EXPECTED to be there, but when they're missing, on top of the lack of bigger world interactions, it all just makes the open world feel hollow. Like, don't get me wrong, I love the missions and side activities, because those make it feel like things are happening. But when you're not actively doing a mission or clearing out an NCPD area, it feels like nothing is really going on. Like, the whole world is just there to look pretty, but you can't touch anything. Not helped by there being a BOATLOAD of unfinished content in the game, like the Market level of V's apartment building. The NCPD rooftop having an elevator but the access key for the elevator just doesn't exist. Hell, there's a whole bit to the rooftops of Konpeki Plaza, that's unused, that looks like it was intended as a different entrance or exit to the heist, complete with working ladders, floor hatches, and even a sliding door in the wall that leads to a hole in the ceiling (you can even SEE that hole through playing the mission normally)....but it's never used. I'm not trying to shit on the game. I absolutely love the game. It's one of my favorite games that I've played in a while. But man, like I said, the whole world feels like a museum piece, where you can look, but not touch.

The game is fantastic. The music exceeded my wildest expectations. It just makes the game so enjoyable to walk around in. I have left the game in menus or idling for extended periods and just enjoyed the sound track.

Bought it in November and been obsessed ever since. Easily in my top 5, maybe top 10 games of all time. Good job they never gave up on it!

Omg the amount of work is mind blowing. No wonder it's such beloved masterpiece now. Totally deserved and fixed 👍

This wouldve been the greatest game of all time if they had like 3 more years of development. No question. Despite the problems, they set a new standard for city design in open world games. They inspired me to start taking classes to become a game developer.

Honestly? Even just another 6 months would have done wonders. There's so much half-finished content in the game that could have been finished in that amount of time. There so many areas that are detailed that just....aren't used for anything. Like, it's obvious that they needed at least a LITTLE more time to work on it, to finish up what was there, but the higher-ups didn't want a 4th delay, and wanted to get it out by Christmas.

played this game religiously since release and seeing how far its come is truly a treat

I'll come back after REALLY finishing this game... What a masterpiece nowadays to get a game like this... apart from previous bug and all...

U get a couple shirts and stuff but u get a katana wich is awesome, I’m pre ordering digitaly because I won’t have to wait for my game to ship and play it 2-3 days after game releases, if I were u I would pre order digitaly but if u get a hard version I’m pretty sure u get a poster and something else to

My favorite game of all time. 40 years old. Never really had cyberpunk exposure before it. Minus blade runner. Absolutely in love with the aesthetic and Night city. Amazing story and gameplay. I'm absolutely devastated we're only getting 1 DLC and it's gonna be many years before a sequel. I wish they would skip the witcher and just go balls to the wall with cyberpunk. Thank you Mike Pondsmith and CDPR. Now I want to digest any cyberpunk universe I can get my hands on. Please star wars this bitch! (And not the Disney kind.)

Pretty much echoed my sentiments exactly (35 here). Can't get enough Night City and the stories in this dark universe.

Got a copy on release day, and loved it since, even with the glitches, thankfully not many for me. Started my 5th play through for Phantom Liberty and the 2.0 update, wow! It's like a new game, I haven't gotten to Dogtown yet. Thanks for the hard work, and not abandoning it after the rough launch. Hoping for more to do in the Cyberpunk world. Ps. I really need to upgrade my PC to experience it that way, PS5 is nice, but PC looks amazing plus the mods.

This game nailed in every department. But got fuk'd up by the higher up management. CDPR would have become the savior of gaming industry leaving their name in the gaming history(in a good way). All and all, such a shame

Amen. Pre release I truly believed that this game would set the new standard in modern day gaming as a whole. The concept, the story, the environment and execution of it all to name a few. I was on that hype train full speed ahead. Damn shame it ended this way but I want to hold on to hope that in a couple years when it’s on next gen consoles that it will capture that magic of pre release. They will have to be very careful in DLC choice and hopefully add in new features but it can be done. No mans sky is a testament to that

Great game, as for the sounds, every game I've played had the music turn to zero or almost but cyberpunk I had that music cranked.

I waited for 2.0 and Phantom Liberty to be released to actually play Cyberpunk 2077! My God what a beauty of a game! I'm so addicted to it!

Just got it on PC. FUCKING LOVE IT!

I'd love Cyberpunk 2020 made into a show or game. 2077 seems like a game you step into mid story, which is an amazing introduction but I'd love to learn the stories of Adam Smasher, Morgan blackhand and Johny silverhand. heck even alt Cunningham.

The game is absolutely incredible and most of all it's crazy fun. Thought it would be the story and side quests that drew me in but it's the combat! Gung Fu build in light of equilibrium is soooooo bad ass!

Soundtrack, story, characters, environment.. a great master piece

I love how this doc is actually narrated by Geralt 💯💕

Thankfully, I only stepped into this game this past November with 2.0 and most recently with the 2.1 update. Each time I play, I find myself on a different part of the missions and side quests and instead of getting there to my objective, I'm looking around at the landscape or various cities and the sheer beauty of the its design. It's like being a tourist in NYC or any foreign city... breaking the cardinal rule, "Never look like you're a tourist, keep your head down"... Um, nope. Truly an excellent game and I am avoiding any mods until I'm done with my first playthrough. I also can't wait to go back and make other decisions to see how the story progresses. EXCELENT WORK EVERYONE... BRAVO!!!

cyberpunk is not just a fictional game world it is our headed direction as humanity in the real world...and the game is just a glimpse of what is coming and while we maybe just gamers living this game in the comfort of now..... tomorrow in another life we maybe born into it and may have to survive it...

Knew when this game came out it would have problems. Purchased a nice gaming computer and now play it. Was worth the wait.

CDPR seems to be making a habit of finding these lesser known gems and bringing them into the spotlight through their games. I really hope to see more of this from them in the future!
